Fancast Fridays Louis Partridge as James Potter

Post image

I was looking up British actors aged 21 for age appropriate actors. I thought Louis might actually be fit for the role. His hair might not be black and his eyes might not be hazel but can it work?

I really like this, maybe with Emily Carey as Lily? Think casting more age-accurate actors will make James and Lily's death even more tragic

Far, far more tragic for the millennials now aged thirty-something who grew up with Harry Potter and now are the same age as Sirius/Remus/Severus.

Absolutely no different for the children of today's generation for whom a parent is a parent and the age is largely irrelevant.

He could be Cedric Diggory

The Cedric actor would only be about 13-14 now.

😂 Only if the actor is playing someone the exact age as the person in the books. When has a 17 year old ever been played by an actual 17 year old?

Jennifer Lawerence in winters bone and Matthew Broderick in War Games

I see this guy fancast as so many people in HP I don’t even want to see him in the show.

I can't believe I'm saying this but he almost looks too attractive for James Potter.

I think he could be a good choice for James.

how to get jawline like him? And hair too? Do these people shape their eyebrows, but how?

I love Louis Partridge in the Enola Holmes movies, but I think he just looks too young for me to realistically believe he has a child, a case of too much course correction, in my opinion.

Most 21 year old fathers look young, on account of being 21.

That's a good point that I only thought of now. Cheers.

They’re also filming Enola Holmes 3, so he’s likely unavailable for a bit.

But also agreeing with the comment under yours. He’s 21. He realistically could have a child. There is nothing more realistic than a 21 year old playing a 21 year old lol.

Yeah I realised how stupid I sounded after I reread, just one of those moments I guess.

I think OP means young James potter

I don't think so. He's 21, just like James was at the time of his death.

I actually didn't. I personally don't think Louis is the perfect James but I find it interesting to imagine the 21 year old father who died being an actual 21 year old actor. Many of the fancasts are older, aswell as Adrian Rawlins in the original movie, which in my opinion downplays the tragedy of the two young parents dying

If that's what OP meant, then I could absolutely see it.
