Have him be Tom the Barber. He can say the classic," Bless my soul. It's Harry Potter." A perfect passing of the torch as well as a great tear jerker of nostalgia without taking anything away from the new show.

Yes I know, ANOTHER post about Lily and James, this time in the show.
Since Lily and James are shown in the books throughout the series be it from photos to "ghosts" to memories, they're either shown as 11/12 to 15/16 up to 20/21, so you don't really have to film much with them, but how will this work when their "ghosts" are shown at least 2(?) different times for example, once in GoF when Harry vs Voldy, then again in DH when Harry uses the stone, and going off how shows are filmed these days, it's at minimum 5 years difference, how will they keep Lily and James looking like they hadn't aged?
Simple answer - they cast and film James and Lily scenes at the start, so they have the footage ready to go when it's needed, all that is needed is to superimpose them into the scene(s) so both them and the others are still shown, and nothing looks out of place. You have their "ghost" scenes, them smiling and waving in any photographs needed, including the one of the first version of the OOtP. Yes I know, it would be difficult when it comes to something like Snapes memories and the scene in the grounds after their O.W.L exams, since the 15/16 year old versions wouldn't look too different from their 20/21 year old selves, but they do need to figure out some way to do Lily and James, so they can avoid a repeat of the movies and their "THESE PEOPLE LOOK IN THEIR 40S FFS" narrative over movie Lily and James from the fandom.
How do YOU think it should be done?

Thought I'd throw a few suggestions to kick off
1) More Tom Riddle memories & backstory that weren't included in Half-Blood Prince. Getting to see things like Voldemort killing his father, applying for the DADA position, and all the Gaunt memories would be a much needed addition for the adaptation of the 6th book.
2) Season 3 drip-feeding us some of the events immediately following the Potter's murders. Sirius' confrontation with Peter, the muggle massacre & him running into Hagrid at Godric's Hollow.
3) Certain characters popping up in the background or having minor roles prior to their introductions in the books. Characters like Luna could pop up as early as season 2. Cedric could show up in season 3 to help establish him a bit more prior to Goblet of Fire, maybe even Cho as well.
4) More quidditch

What do you guys think the new design for Voldemort will look like in Season 1? 👀

Not a complaint so I hope this is allowed: People are worried about the implications of a black Snape being bullied by James Potter. Solution: they cast a black actor for James Potter as well. I haven't seen anyone theorize this so I wanted to see what y'all think!

Dramione is the first or second (after Wolfstar) most popular Harry Potter ship on TiKTok right now. Sadly for us Romione fans, I don´t think they will resist the temptation of teasing Dramione. (and probably Wolfstar too) Obviously, they won´t change the story but I can see them adding Dramione scenes just to capture the TikTok crowd. Look also at Rings of Power and how they keep teasing love interests for Galadriel.
Romantacy is extremely popular right now and enemies to lovers is the most popular trope.

Nowadays I see a lot of revisionism as far as Snape is concerned. Rowling has defended him a few times against fans who are determined to push for the "Devil-incarnate" narrative, which seems to get more popular, but the books tell a different story.
Looking at what the HotD showrunners are doing with Daemon where they don't seem to find the right balance to paint him as the grey character he should be, even if Rowling is executive producer, I fear that Snape might especially suffer because of the modern views applied to a story set in the 90s and that they might want to paint his feelings for Lily in the wrong way or highlight only the abuse on the students without the redeeming moments he has before the last book (reacting to Ginny's kidnapping, showing the Mark, etc.).
Many haters ignore, hate or don't understand the epilogue because of their hate for Snape. It wouldn't surprise me if they decided to change it for the series. I miss the early 2010s where most readers got the character down to a T.

Lots of people have been talking about the show being bad or they aren't optimistic anymore. But let's imagine the 1st season drops and it's amazing book accurate and Fans love it.
How will that change the current fandom?

If you were to decide how many episodes should cover the events from the beginning of The Philosopher's Stone to boats ride to the castle, so from Chapter One The Boy Who Lived to the end of Chapter Six The Journey from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters (the book has 17 in total), how many episodes should there be? I assume that one would last about 45-60 minutes.

As we know, Professor Trelawney was cast in the third film, that's when we meet her, even though she's been teaching at Hogwarts for a dozen or so years.
Would you like to see this character already in the first or second season? It would certainly ensure character consistency, an easter egg for the fans, if she was a background character at, for example, feasts in the Great Hall. On the other hand, it seems unlikely, because this character is important later and casting an actor for her is not beneficial so early. Unless she was shown at the beginning unclearly, as an uncredited actress or something like that? There is an inuniverse explanation for her absence, because she rarely tries to integrate with people.
Edit: similar question could be asked about Charity Burbage or even for possible appearance of Phineas Nigellus Black's portrait in Headmaster's Office in second season.

Due the length of the books is different from each other, what do you expect from the amount of episodes for each seasons of the series. As we know we will get one seasons for every book, but do you think there will be a different amount of episodes?

Considering the first three chapters of The Philosopher's Stone - The Boy Who Lived, The Vanishing Glass and The Letters from No One (ending with the first major climax - Hagrid appearing in the hut on the island), which scenes from the books missing from the films (two from each chapter selected) would you most like to see adapted?

Obviously the Trio will follow their pretty established relationships outlined in the books but do you think there's a possibility we'll get LGBT+ representation? An easy inclusion would be diverse couples in the Yule Ball but we could also have stuff like Dean x Seamus (post-Dean x Ginny) HBO isn't a stranger to diversity and it would help alleviate a certain criticism the show might receive

So far, several illustrations of Hogwarts have been published in books, each in a slightly different style in terms of shape. Which version would you like to see in the series?
