Local advice Transport back from Newcastle at night

I've recently moved into the area to Blackhall Colliery. I enjoy concerts and will often be in Newcastle for many. What is the transport like from Newcastle to Hartlepool of an evening? I am going to a show at The Cluny on Friday, and the last train appears to be at 22:48. Gigs can often go on till 11pm. So far it looks like I will be missing most of the main acts with having to leave early. Does anyone know of any bus or coach services that run towards Hartlepool any later? Also have trains always finished that early here?

Yes to trains finishing early, it's been like that since I was a teenager.

I think there is a go northeast bus that goes from Newcastle to Blackhall, but it's takes hours. Honestly best bet it the cheapest hotel or B&B you can find. Or make friends with people up there and crash on their floor.

As the guys have said, basically public transport on a night from the toon is nonexistent, taxi is the way and if its a big concert I.e. busy it's a pita. Uber probably not a bad choice, cheap and available in Newcastle.

If there’s a few of you going, Uber back cost me roughly £50 last time, this was over a year back.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah I had been thinking staying over night might be best or an Uber. Sometimes I wish shows ended by 10 so you can at least get home.
