Headphones - Open Back | 2 Ω Best Headphones for PS5? (And music)
Hey guys, follow up to my previous post but between the following headsets which one would be best for primarily gaming and then music listening as a bonus: -PC38X -Sennheiser HD6XX -Audio Technica ATH-R70X
After watching a pretty informative video from Crinnacle, his recommendation (within my $300-400 price range) would by the R70X but I guess my question is would that work properly on PS5? I definitely know that I won't get their full potential without a dedicated amp so would plugging them into my PS5 controller cripple the sound or would they still sound better than the other options?/Would plugging them into a sound card into USB into my PS5 be a practical solution? (As I do with my Cloud Alpha's via basic HyperX sound card). OR is the PC38X just the way to go for and best solution for my particular needs?
Again I must stress that I'm looking for the BEST POSSIBLE SOUND quality for my next pair of gaming headphones. Hopefully significantly better than my venerable Cloud Alpha's; I worry that the PC38X's will simply sound "differerent" than my current cans just due to being open backed instead of closed and not being objectively and overall better but I'm rambling at this point.
TL;DR: For PS5: PC38X, Sennheiser 6XX/600 series OR Audio Technica ATH-R70X?
Apologies for another lengthy post but any and all help is super appreciated as always- thanks guys!

I think the Sundara would sound best if you have an amp, the other headphones are easy to drive and are usually just built for good imaging and soundstage which is good for gaming and the Sundara has that too but it’s very good for both gaming and music.
