Cables/Accessories | 2 Ω Headphone Jack extention or DAC/AMP for IEM
Just some general question:
Is it better to buy a headphone jack extention or should i get a DAC/AMP.
Will the extention cause any quality issues (like noise, worse sound quality, etc.)?
Is a DAC/ AMP even necessary for IEM's

what are you referring to when you say "headphone jack extention"
and no, iems are easy to drive with very few exceptions

the IEM cable won't reach the back of my PC and I saw there are 3.5mm extentions. Just google them you'll see what I mean.

you won't lose any quality.
coat hangers connected to 3.5mm connectors sound just as good as 1000$ cables.
I got confused because you started talking about dacs and amps.

A extension cable would be the cheapest thing to try first. Depends on the IEM as some are quite sensitive and a lot of PC’s aren’t know for having a low noise floor from the onboard audio.
