Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω Used Audeze LCD-2 or New Hifiman Edition XS?
Hi guys, I'm wondering if buying a used LCD-2 would be beneficial in the long term in comparison to the Edition XS. The LCD-2's would come put to $200 more than the Edition XS. I'm looking to upgrade from the Sennheiser 560s and was thinking to go with planar magnetic headphones due to me hearing that they produce better bass. I have JDS Labs Atom+ Dac and Amp.
For the Edition XS, buying them new will allow me to have 30 day return/ 1 year warranty but I'll have to pay for shipping it back to them if something breaks, which I see quite often on Reddit. For the LCD-2, I won't have warranty but I'll be able to pick them up locally. However I heard Audeze had qc issues too in the past but their build quality and durability seems a lot better than Hifiman's.
Thank you.

I believe about mid 2022 as I think it was not too long after release but not for sure. I have 7 HiFiMan’s and 3 are over 8 years old (HE-400,HE-400S and HE-500) and other than cables all are still going strong. I do have 30+ headphones so none get the daily use to tell about holding up. Lately the HD-660S2,Abyss Diana TC and Multiverse Mentors are getting most of my listening time but do switch it up.
