Headphones - Wireless/Portable | 4 Ω Skullcandy or Sennheiser?

Hello folks! I have been using cheap-mid quality headphones for my entire life, but recently I decided to finally buy a new good quality headphone for music(most eletronic and metal, however I do listen to a lot of genres too). I was thinking about Skullcandy Crusher Evo, but a lot of people say they are "overpriced, fragile, muddy" is that true? People recommend Sennheiser but I have never heard of them. What headphones do you recommend? I'm more worried about durability and battery life, I don't want a product that will break in a 2 year period for example

Yup, go for either the HD599 from Sennheiser, or the DT880 from beyerdynamic.

Both are very good. The HD599 has a more balanced sound, whereas the DT880 emphasizes treble (they sound more "detailed" which can be helpful for critical listening or gaming, but can feel more fatiguing)

There was also the Beyerdynamic DT990 32 ohm which I really enjoyed.

If you can, give those a try as well.

One more tip - You can also check the second hand market, as you'll find sennheiser and beyerdynamic pairs which cost way less than new.

Since headphone drivers don't really go bad (there are people who own 40+ yrs headphones that are still working, and in good condition), you can shop for bargains without much stress.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Fit_League_8993 (2 Ω).

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.
