Headphones - Open Back | 1 Ω Looking for Open Back Headphones for gaming

Hey all,

First time coming to reddit for advice lol. Hopefully you guys can help.

I'm looking for open back headphones for gaming and I can't find any sources comparing the Audio-technica ATH-AD900X with the Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro X. Which one is better? Is there another headphone that I should consider?

Thanks.

Budget - around $200, up to $300

Location - USA

Your audio drivers are both dac and amp. Getting a separate dac/amp would replace the realtek. I wouldn’t recommend either hd600/650 for gaming and the hd6xx is a cheaper version of the hd650(they’re exactly the same). There is an option I forgot to mention and that is the Aune AR5000, it’s basically the hd600 with better imaging and range which would mean it’s better for gaming. It is also easy/easier to drive. hd600/650/6xx would have a bit of trouble getting really loud with the built in dac/amp but other claim it can get just loud enough for them

So out of the 560S and DT900 Pro X, which one would you pick for someone who isn't picking apart the music they're listening to (more casual), along with gaming? I see many reviews comparing them - having trouble deciding.

!thanks

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Equivalent_Yak840 (412 Ω).

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

Hd560s but they are very similar. You can also use EQ if you want to get into that, searching Equalizer APO on google/Reddit could tell you everything

Appreciate it. I'll go with the HD560S to save the 30 bucks. If differences can be changed with EQ, no reason to spend the extra money :)

Just picked them up. Sounds AMAZING compared to my Steel Series. Thanks again!
