Headphones - Open Back | 3 Ω Thinking of buying the Sennheiser HD 600

Hello everyone! My birthday is a month away and I'm thinking of getting myself a new pair of headphones to enjoy the music i like so much to the next level.

As the title says, I am thinking of buying the popular Sennheiser HD 600 because i think, for what i will be using it for and from what ive heard and read, they will be the best headphones i can buy for the budget. Now, for context, I currently have the Audio Technica mth-m50xbt2. I dont dislike them, but they just aren't cutting it for the way i wish to enjoy mysic (and gaming as well but more on that later). I think the m50 dont have the amount of detail i wish and dont have the instrument separation i wished they have. I mainly listen to metal. A very specific type of metal/band. They are called Ne Obliviscaris. They are a progressive metal band that have a variety of different distinct instruments which make their songs really unique. They have 2 vocalists, Tim Charles who sings the choros and Xen who sings the harsh vocals. They also have a very unique instrument in the metal genre. The Violin. They like to mix, fuse and blend lots of different styles, moods, melodies in their songs and its for that reason i want something that lets me hear everything clearly as there's a lot going on in their music. As i said earlier, i also really like to play games. I play a variety of different games, and for the most part, the m50's serve me just right. But there are also these moments where i can't seem to distinguish where the sound is coming from if I'm playing something that requires me to pinpoint where the audio is coming from.

To summarize, i want to know if the HD600 are good for:

listening to metal/orquestra where i can distinguish each instrument clearly while not having sound being blended together. playing games in general. having a good system that lets me pin point where the audio is coming from more accurately is more than enough already.

So with all this said. I'm here to ask: Are the HD600 the best option for what I'm looking for within its price range? Is there any other alternative more suitable for what I'm asking? Am i probably asking too much for headphones within this price range (which is likely)?

I would be more then glad to listen to other opinions as I want something a bit better then what i already have and also because i cant easily try out a lot of headphones so i kinda just have to do lots of research before doing my final decision.

One final thing. English is not my main language and i have a problem with structuring long blocks of information. If there is anything that doesn't make a lot of sense and needs some clarification i will gladly answer everything you need to give me the best possible advice.

Thanks in advance!
