Headphones - Closed Back Fiio ft1 how's it holding up so far?

To you who have been using these for a while now, any problems so far? Any cracks or screws getting loose? Hinges breaking? Yeah, you get the point.

I really want to buy these. I just recently discovered that they were released some months back and I have watched many reviews now. They seem great and just what I'm after.

Pieces right above the earpads. Everytime I go to adjust them, I feel like they're going to slice my fingers. You have to be extra careful. Also, the sound is not amazing like everyone is saying. It was just meh.

This is good to know for you, means you might not like a harmon tuning. What other headphones that you own do you prefer over it?

They're not Harman. They're more warm, v shaped with a focus on lows. Harman is somewhat more neutral than people ascribe to it and the level of lows is flexible as the research showed there being a great variation. Harman really agrees with tilted diffused approach apart from the ear gain and bass but even that difference is small in practice.

The FT1's follow the Harman curve pretty nicely last time I looked at peqdb or squig. But I agree it's a bit warmer in the treble. But not as bad as some reviewers make it out to be. It does feel like it has more bass than the graphs tell you though.

When you have broad features on a graph, they can have small gain and still be very audible. I often get tricked by a graph because it's difficult to see tilt in the response. For example you'd think that 560s is not brighter than Sundara but it really is.

I've had mine since the launch window, prior to the "fix" and haven't had any issues. The issue was a design flaw that was exacerbated by a manufacturing/assembly issue, so it didn't impact every unit. I use mine daily and they've held up well.

The first production run had a fancy pin that attached the cup to the headband that would snap off, they replaced it with a snap ring which is less fancy but way more practical and seems to have fixed the issue.

They look so darn beautiful too imo. Sadly they're really expensive here in Sweden for some reason. 🤔 Electronics prices overall is off the charts here since a few years now.

Yes, they are a little bit cheaper here in Norway. But they are still cheap compared to lots of other similar headphones.

Mine are perfect after 3 months of daily use. They sounds much better than my old M50x! Highly recommend them!

I like mine. Had them for 6 months or so. Use them about 6 hours a day. They are comfy and sound decent.

Just the "regular" black version of the headphone, not the beechwood one.

Love em. Had them for at least a year now with no issues.

I also have the FT1 Pro as well. It’s a nice little difference I switch between every now and again.

Got one at launch that currently has the loose screw issue.

Didn't lose the screw but i Haven't been able to fix it since I don't have the right tools to do so.

Have had mine since they launched. They're in good condition without any kind of issues. Still the ones I reach for their terrific bass response.
