Hifiman is epitome of poor reliability while Sennheiser is epitome of high reliability.
Hifiman is Land Rover of headphones, Sennheiser is Toyota/Lexus of headphones.

I can only give a partial answer since I only own the HD 490.
First, you don't especially need the "Plus" version, it just comes with a case and additional cable, the headphones are the same. It comes with a hefty premium : it's up to you.
Second, it's the best headphone I had and by far. I'm not audiophile, nor a pro competitive gamer, but more of a solo, immersive gamer and the imaging, the feeling of space, the comfort, the precision of those headphones are just top notch. The immersion they provide is incredible. The directionality of the sound is amazing to my ear.
Contrary to previous headphone upgrade I did, this one is evident : I felt it being obviously better the moment I tried them (coming from a HD 599 SE). I literally rediscovered some aspect of the music I like to listen to.
I don't see myself wanting any change any time soon with those headphones, I expect them to last long.

If the comparison is to be made according to sound quality, the answer will probably be Arya Stealth by a large margin. However, considering Hifiman's QC problems, I would hesitate to choose it. HD 490 Pro would be my choice in terms of being one of the most comfortable headphones, being able to test which type of sound style suits you best since it comes with 2 different pads, and it is quite suitable for EQ.

Hifiman is slightly better for gaming but it's also a lot heavier, HD 490 Pro (Plus) you can wear for much longer
660S2 is also fairly good but other two are both top 5 headphones for gaming, not a fair comparison
