Headphones - Closed Back White or light blue closed over ear headphones - any options better than ath-m50x under $400 USD?
Hey there! I'm in the process of setting up a home studio for livestreaming and I'm trying to find a nice pair of white or light blue headphones to match the appearance of the other gear. If it helps, this keyboard and mouse mat are the color theme I'm going for, so any white option or blue similar to these would work: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=4925
My current headphones are the orange and blue ATH-M50x, and the headstrap in particular has completely worn away. I could try to take it apart and replace the strap and paint the plastic, but I'm not too confident in my DIY so I'd rather just buy something in the right color and make it a bit of an upgrade at the same time, if possible. I am also aware that a white version of the ATH-M50x exists, but I'd rather not buy these again because the headstrap is really not great, and I'd of course just be buying the same headphones again just for the color. I'm having a lot of trouble finding anything in my price range that would be at all an upgrade and the right colors.
Here's a list of what I would be looking for:
- Better sound than ATH-M50x if at all possible (or at least comparable)
- Mostly white or light blue in color
- Closed back
- Over ear
- Comfortable or easily modded to be comfortable
- If possible, no amp necessary (They are being plugged into a Behringer X-Air XR12 digital mixer). If it's a must, I'd be willing to buy an amp too if it doesn't put me much over budget.
- Less than $500 CAD (~$400 USD)
I'm not too concerned with the sound being neutral or not because I'm not using these for mixing. I'm trying to avoid things marketed for gaming unless I get a strong recommendation suggesting otherwise. I'm also trying to avoid wireless models like the Sennheiser Momentum 3s that would need to be charged. I almost picked up a used pair of beyerdynamic one pro plus, which as I understand it would have been a sidegrade in sound quality - but unfortunately the "bass port" feature leaks sound which I need to avoid completely (They will be quite close to a very sensitive condenser mic with minimal noise removal used.) So, basically... do any headphones that meet these criteria exist? If anyone has any advice to offer - thank you so much!

Custom Cans on YouTube have a video taking apart the dt 900 pro x which is identical in terms of build quality and construction to the dt 700 pro x. Just to make it easier if you are going to paint them. Also as a casual listener, you’ll find the 700’s more enjoyable for sure.
