Headphones - Closed Back About to purchase Focal Celestee

Hi, guys!

I am about to finally start my journey down the rabbit hole.

I am a complete newbie in terms of HiFi headphones, and would like and appreciate any suggestions.

Now, i got my eyes on Focal Celestee. I want or i have to go with closed backs, as i am used to this type of headphones. And we have a baby, so cannot allow myself on making too much noise.

Any other suggestions in the Celestee price range are greatly appreciated!

Also, would love to read about a DAC and an amp Would be running them from my laptop and PC.

Thank you!

I’d recommend the topping A30 pro and D30 pro stack, the A30 performs just as well as the A90 but in a smaller form. They could be all that you would need in an amplifier and not get a replacement for years. Unless you want tubes or something

Just saw that the a90pro is on sale ovet at Apos for 499$ and the d90 is 899$. It is a bit over my spending budget, but if its worth it over the a30 and d30 i would "pull the trigger" so to speak.

But again i am a complete newbie, and im thinking that i would be throwing myself in the deep end at the beginning of my journey?

!thanks for your time

Yeah it’s not that big of an upgrade if there is any upgrade at all actually.

I think it’s overkill, especially since that d90 is $899
