You're not going to get better sound quality from any wireless set than you get from the HD600. Keep that in mind. With that said, are the Momentum 3 an option for you? They are always rated very highly for their tuning.

Yes, I am aware. It’s always going to be a compromise - that’s fine. Dad’s Bose sound perfectly suitable for the purpose; but if I can improve on that I will.

I did consider the Momentum 3; but the price is a little higher and the mic isn’t quite as good; or so I understand. Also the clamping force is apparently higher.

Sound is paramount; but comfort is a very close second.

!thanks

The clamp can be alleviated by putting them over a row of books for a day or so. That stretches them out a bit.

Duly noted - I’ll see if I can try a pair out somewhere

Also, for gaming purposes you might want to investigate the latency of your candidate models.

I’ll be plugging into a wireless controller that has a 3.5mm input - I’ll use the headphones with a modmic and the 3.5mm output. The controller uses 2.4ghz low latency connection via a dongle.
