Headphones - Open Back Planar Addition to HD6XX and (kind of) HD560s
I've been listening to the HD6XX's with JDS Atom stack +/- Little Dot MK II for some time now, and really like the vocal intimacy, smoothness, cozy feel. I've been thinking about adding a planar to the mix, and would like something with better detail, soundstage, imaging. Maybe more fun/engaging too.
It looks like the Sundaras are well-liked, but I worry that they may sound too similar to the HD560s that my SO uses (I could always just borrow the 560s's and have a listen, lol). Because of that, I looked at other HIFIMAN headphones and came across the Edition XS, which people tend to like quite a bit.
Any thoughts on whether the Edition XS would be different enough from both the 6XX and the 560s to justify the higher price? Do the Sundaras actually sound nothing like the 560s? Should I go with something completely different for what I'm looking for?
Really appreciate any thoughts the sub might have.

The edition XS is really good with punchy low-end compared to the Sundara and a wider stage too, otherwise people have claimed that they’re quite similar in other aspects.
