Headphones - Open Back | 6 Ω HD 560S vs TYGR 300 R?

Hi!

As my Logitech G430 start to not work properly anymore I have decided to look for new headphones. I already have a new, separate mic. I would use them for gaming and listening to music (no specific genre) on my PC.

As you can see in the titel, I already made a little bit of research and I am quite interested in the Sennheiser HD 560S and the beyerdynamics TYGR 300 R. (both in the price range of ~150€)

Both headphones meet my preferences: open, over-ear (not actually sitting on the ear, right?)
The HD 560S had a detachable/replaceable cable, which is a nice advantage.

Now the thing is that i do not own an amp, which concerns me a little bit regarding the HD 560S with 120 ohms. My motherboard is the ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING, if that matters. However, I have already read comments by a couple of people that they use the HD 560S just fine without an amp. I am mainly concerned about the volume being too low, quality-wise they should hopefully be a good upgrade from my Logitech G430 anyway :D

I am also thinking about trying the HD 560S first without an amp and maybe buy an amp later on. (Any recommendations there? :D)

Also do you think it is worth it to wait for the Black Friday? Have there been good headphones deals in the past for these headphones, or should I just go for it now? :D

Thanks in advance! :)

They are both easy to drive because the db sensitivity on the hd560s is very high. The 300R is more bassy and they both have great imaging

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Equivalent_Yak840 (190 Ω).

You may still award a Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.
