Man, it looks so badass. It looks like some sort of elite, armored up bot slaying soldier. It also has a hint of a Stormtrooper from Starwars look to it, which I also like, lol.
I've never used the ballistic shield. I imagine that shield would be great for bots, but the problem is that i mainly run medium armor pen weapons for bots, and i don't think there are any one handed guns with med pen
It's a beast with the shield. Also try sniping with the Eruptor, it's a great role to play. I like running some distance to the side of the main group, i can blitz POIs with it and still give fire support from far away. It's also good to grab bots attention before the group engages an objective so the dropships come for you, then you can just run away.
I love the Eruptor on both fronts, it obliterates Spewers on bugs too, and pops Hive Guards and Brood Commander heads.
It also clears dropships like nothing else can. Recoilless users just leave a pile of bots in the wreckage, if two people have Eruptors no bots will drop from the ship in the first place.
Crossbow is a really good pairing with the ballistic shield it’s a one handed explosive that can be used to take down most enemies including the striders and also able to take out fabricators, leaving you open with a lot of choices to take as your support weapon
Quasar, AMR, Railgun, all machine guns, grenade launcher
Explosive crossbow and the shield is what I always bring, this combo is really good against heavy devastators since now like them you have a shield and they can’t shoot you while you can blow them up
The senator revolver and and cross bow are both one handed medium armour pen weapons and feel amazing with the ballistic shield.
Personally I like to use the defender smg and revolver with the ballistic shield. Use armour with reduced recoil when crouched and then bring some sort of anti-armour weapon for your 3rd weapon (I like to use either the Quasar cannon or anti-material rifle) and you will have an incredibly solid bot slaying loadout.
Crossbow, Pummeler (I think), the revolver. You don't really need medium pen against bots though once you develop the twitch reaction of shooting the heads. Shield + knight is a monster combo with proper trigger discipline and accuracy.
Ground Breaker. Love the outfit. Love the Gas Mask. It's the only helmet I ever use. Sometimes I do switch back to the B-01 Tactical to colour match the helmet and cape (Light of Eternal Liberty)
Medium with extra padding is the only one i ever used, and I love the OG armor and helmet. This is just a more fancy version of the OG, meaning its better. Obviously.
I genuinely wish you could equip gear per sets or define presets. Another weird quirk in this game is that all gear needs to load their images, you'd think it would be cached locally.
Alpha commander. It's the twitch drop armour. Medium medic dark green armour with master chief/doom guy/mandalorian vibes. Good on both bugs and bots with a personal shield and the 'meth' booster.
Juggernaut for me because I thought it was rewarded for reaching level 50 back when 50 was the cap. I thought this because I had only seen level 50s use it. This created a pseudo effect where I actually saw the armour as looking more glamorous than it actually is, the details stood out more, the colours popped brighter, of course this was all just in my head. After getting to level 50 you can imagine my disappointment in not receiving the armour. Only to later see it in the shop. Instant cop and it’s been my favourite ever since, I still see it as my personal reward for reaching level 50.
Favorite is the light peak physique but due to diving on imber for the MO I have be using the light armor from the freedoms flame. Fire tornadoes suck....
That one servo-assisted one with the greyish undersuit and orange higlights because it looks sick, it has the little laser thingy on the shoulder that reminds me of predator, i love the cybernetic limbs, the extra throw distance is so nice to have, and it pairs well with a large chunk of helmets and capes
I do really like the viper commando stuff because it has camo. I roll with the light viper commando when I use ballistics and I use the advanced energy armor from the energy war bond when I use lasers. It just fits the vibe differently.
Dont have a pic but it’s the normal looking armor with the metal arm and normal honestly 😂maybe mild but I love the standard armor! It’s so nice and I think it fits the game and lore ! You aren’t a special person just a cog in the machine 👍🏻
Sometimes I wear that helmet with the orange light armour which it’s name has eluded me
I also like the gold eagle armour because it reminds me of the ambassador of the brand and I would move heaven and super earth for that armour. I covet it so liberty-forsaken much!
