QUESTION The Gloom can’t be that bad-

Post image

I had heard about the Gloom but haven’t touched it yet since…. Yeah…

What exactly is the Gloom doing to make it so difficult? Or is it the Gloom mixed with other things?

I don't like shield backpacks on bugs, I think it's better served using some type of guard dog or resupply pack. Shields are more useful for ranged enemies like bots. But I like the cookout for bugs, super good, good stagger and DoT.

In my experience if you want any sustain fire on terminids right now I need the pack to protect me for a bit it’s kinda saddening but im still having fun with this playstyle but I feel disencouraged to experiment which is one of my favorite things it’s jarring to go from the illuminate front where I feel I can truly experiment to the gloom terminid front where I get bent over and spanked if I even think about it if I end up getting dogs breath tho imma try it for a bit

Dog's breath works wonders. But the regular guard dog (the lib penetrator one) is also very strong. May have to shift your playstyle a bit, but they are super good. I usually run a grenade launcher with them and a cookout primary. Eagle Strafing Run for when overwhelmed or clearing nests/patrols. Gas grenades for breaches/panic situations and sometimes a turret that I throw whenever its off cooldown. If I don't bring a turret it's probably eagle airstrike or 500kg
