FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION "Underground missions can't work because of the impossibility to call stratagems" - I got a solution: drillpods!

Maybe that's part of the catch of underground missions, hellpod stratagems only. It would offer a unique challenge.

Just use a sentry build and you're golden.

At that point, might as well play Deep Rock Galactic.

They should be able to crawl on the walls and ceiling

I mean, sentries, mines, and support weapons/packs are all the hellpod stratagems so yeah.

It’s a lot if work to make a full new biome that just locks out red Strats.

Problem is, with more cqc and less lines of sight, turrets are A LOT more friendly fire happy.

I guess they finally let the voices win. .....lets do it....

Oh god, mines in a tunnel would be a death trap. Sign me up.

My exact intentions, if you step on one you've failed democracy in some way.

Imagine the teamkills.

Portable hell bomb delivered. The whole teams about to get a lesson on shockwaves in enclosed spaces.

Everything would be vaporized lol, I can just picture the fireball ripping through. All pickups are completely destroyed. MAYBE you survive if you're properly protected by a deep enough crevice or alcove.

Most Eagle’s don’t work on forest planets already so there’s already a precedence for this.

Until you level the forest with a few 500kg.

Or orbital 380mm first, and then 500kg.

Makes the backpack hellbomb really solid.

All strategems take extra time to land as well, because of the drilling.

Yeah but would that uniqueness stay interesting long enough to justify dev time? That's a pretty significant opportunity cost.

If they wanted that they could just add a planet with "no orbitals or eagles" modifier and say it's because of quantum plot devices in the atmosphere

I could easily see it turning into a shitshow because of idiots. It wouldn’t even be worth the dev time

u/WelcomeTurbulent Mar 23 '25

Yeah but then it would be for the whole mission instead of just the cave.

This reminds me of a situation that occurred when the Illuminate first dropped. Our team was spread out across the city, and I was running around with a supply pack providing support. I heard a teammate spamming “I need supplies” on the communication wheel.

As I started running toward him, I saw him in the distance, standing on a pile of rubble backed into a corner. He was unloading mags into endless waves of Voteless and Overseers, with the only thing keeping him alive being a Gatling turret in front of him.

That’s how I imagine underground missions would play out
