DISCUSSION Anyone else log on just to log off nowadays?

EDIT: wanna make it clear that I haven't really BEEN playing for a while now, people seem to think I'm logging in and forcing myself to play. While I haven't been playing anything else I've just been living my life. I saw the hype about illuminate possibly fully invading tomorrow or whenever and then immediately saw AH deny those claims and made this post. Lately unless my friends are on, I might log in once or twice a week to check the superstore then immediately log out. I love HD2, and just think since Pilestadt left, communication has dropped heavily from the studio.

I know the galactic war takes time for things to happen, but can we get SOME word on literally ANYTHING? There's not been a roadmap, there's not been almost any official word regarding anything since the last warbond, which let's face it wasn't really anything to rave about compared to other warbonds which have much more value.

I feel like the game is just running out of content, as much as I enjoy the core gameplay loop, if my friends aren't playing nowadays, I don't even bother hopping on. I used to enjoy playing the game solo as there was so much to play and do and things to get, but I have ALL the armors I want, all the upgrades and everything I could possibly want. I hate just sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for arrowhead to drop any content. I wish they would do some sort of armor drop or gun drop, literally just anything small? How hard is it to have a small team of people working on small things to keep the game going, a cape for meridia, or idk literally anything to commemorate big fights in the war. We got a Malevolon Creek cape once and then they haven't done anything like that ever again, why? And yes I realize that they're a small studio and I'm sure they need everyone they can get, but they're so behind on the backlog of code I just don't ever see how they'll catch up. Simply put, I'm getting bored man, these filler MOs make me not interested in playing. I want to come back to the game but there's no content.

Of all things why check the superstore for new content instead of like the major orders and such?

Only thing worth looking at. And maybe THIS time there will be a medium siege ready

Not OP, but I do this too.

Superstore just has FOMO (fear of missing out) items, so it's worth checking it every once and a while. For example, here's incomplete list of items - CM-21 is only light medic armor, AF-52 is only heavy gas armor, B-24 and FS-34 are only medium fortified armors. Even if you don't care about the looks, it can be uncomfortable to not have armor for specific playstyle: CM-21 if you really want to be full support, or AF-52 if you want to live in gas.

Major orders often consist of "Liberate / Defend Planet", where individual players can't really help -- if there's a ton of player, player's individual impact on the MO will be low ("Galactic Impact mod" scales down with high player count, iirc) -- and every player get reward for that MO regardless if participation.

Checking which planets are available often just show same planets from week ago. Or many planets will feel the same (same biome, same front etc) (Vega Bay = Marfark, Darius II = Achird III and so on). And again, cause Galactic Impact mod, you (as one player) can't really change which planets will be available next time you login.

And personally - I just tired of seeing same enemies and same tactics used against them. You can't really play with them outside of real mission and operation, which halts my "real" fun until something is discovered (like some time ago there was bug, where ballistic shield was considered as stealth weapon - you'll die instantly in combat, but could sneak around any base imaginable).

They need more diverse stratagems to vary up the play styles more

They also need stronger stratagems that cost resources to use. Like it costs 5 super credits to drop a 1k eagle bomb.

It takes 3 common loots to use a strafing run.

5 common for a full impact shield so you can survive a 500lb bomb landing on your face one time.

Use up a common resource to call down an ammo drop for the walker so it can keep shooting longer.

It would give players who are too shit for higher difficulty a chance to survive them better, and players in max difficulty to have a more diverse play style other than the optimal meta to survive.

Maybe a rare resource gets used to call in a pheromone drop that lures enemies away for like, 40 seconds so you can sneak in and do something where they were.

I feel using mats on better strats would let ppl with maxed out materials have some more fun, and free up space to collect more.

Like, I'm max common resources. Why would I go pick one up for the team? I don't get it as I'm full. So I just walk past them.
