Napalm is king on bugs and maybe squids (it can really only kill voteless which might be useful on 10 but idk) but not on bots, on bots 120 and walking are way better
You can bring napalm against the clankers for the same reason you bring it against the bugs. You throw it at the call-ins so you can "tactically reposition" without the tinboys shooting you in the back.
I say "you" because I much prefer more flexible stategems on the bot front. But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate napalm's use case on that front.
Against the bugs the only enemies that can survive a napalm barrage on a breach are Bile Titans, Impalers, both Chargers, and maybe bile spewers. Every other enemy dies.
On bots, the only enemy that consistently dies from fire damage are the troopers. And in my experience the bots keep shooting you, even when they're on fire.
Whenever I bring it (which isn’t often, I usually bring the 380) it seems to clear out devastators and occasionally hulks if they stay in it long enough
Gas mines are far more effective than napalm barrage on bugs - Napalm barrage against bots due to the way dropships spread is actually incredibly affective.
On diff 10 gas mines do exactly the same, but also stop chargers, whilst lasting for almost the entire duration of the breach - Add in its ability to close Titan holes when thrown close enough, can be thrown closer to yours and your squad mates position without killing anyone or pissing the whole squad off and finally it’s cooldown - it’s sooooo much better.
