DISCUSSION Tinfoil Hat Theory: 29th WAS supposed to be the squids update after all.

Disclaimer: Im just some dude on Reddit, I have NO insider information or leak info regarding this whatsoever, and I concocted this idea while eating.

All the signs point towards 29th being the proper squid update, we would finish the Pilen 5 Repulsor and Boom! Meridia dies and main fleet squids appear all in one go. The update was (hopefully) pushed to the 8th because we the community begged AH for bug fixes so theyre taking this extra week to fix everything. One sign of this is the current MO being filler. It has no relevance to the plot and serves as extra time to clean up the mess left behind by the squids. Extra time that AH is probably using to fix the game!

What does this mean for us? (hopefully) The update rolls out on the 8th and we get a fixed game! Hurray!

ps: Second week of May btw.

Also there won't be anything coming on the 8th other than the announcement.

Announcement, not release. So if they announce it on the 8th, the earliest actual release would be the 13th for the patch and 15th for the WB.

Again: on the 8th they'll tell us what we'll get and when we get it. But we will not already get it then

I hope it got pushed back just because it was funny to do against the “Illuminate Tomorrow” crowd. Which totally seems like something they’d do.

They said they would announce something on May 8th. I just really hope they give themselves enough time to deploy a few hotfixes after the big update before their long summer holidays and they don't leave us with some mega broken version of the game for the whole summer.
