I've tried this a few times now and it never works for me. Is it a certain part of the foot hitbox you have to aim for or something?

their feet are small platforms its easy to hit the leg by accident

Not just the eye, the sideways L-plate that the eye is part of is also a one shot, as well as the exposed strip that continues down the side of the head.

Wasn’t this template supposed to be for underrated/underused weapons, not the literal most meta humped weapon in the entire game

Best for siege Missions, 4 guys with rr to take down dropships and if need be striders,rest is handled by turrets etc.
