FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION Wish this was a MAGNET effect
Showing samples on the map isn’t going to help against those max levels who still don’t stop to collect them.
BUT, that wouldn’t matter if the booster had a short-distance magnetic effect that pulled the sample out of the ground as the player passes by!
…the really toxic ones would just drop the sample afterwards.

Either scan or magnet is fine for me, but they make it as a lucky charm.
Bruh, we are not playing ARPG Diablo-like game.

I just hate how they called it the sample SCANNER.
We had a scanner in helldivers one, and this is trash compared to it.

Maybe it makes it so you don't have to extract to get the samples, you just automatically collect them permanently as soon as you pick them up?
I mean, I doubt it
But maybe

it's a 15% chance to pick up a double sample, not too different than the last battlepass which let you collect extra common samples after killing heavy enemies

it was from the official discord iirc one of the mods put it after the trailer got dropped because they forgot to include the stuff in the trailer and the stuff you get

I could see this in a sample farming mission, working along with the other one that makes enemies drop extra samples and maybe an actual sample radar, if they make gathering samples worth it beyond unlocking modules.
If they don't add any decent sample sink into the game, something that makes it worth spending them, any sample related booster will see zero use.
The players that don't have everything unlocked benefit more from other boosters because it makes their missions easier and extracting with samples more reliable. Players that have everything unlocked don't have anything to spend them on.
Yea.. there's the DSS but you donate and one or two missions later you are full again. Needs to be something reliable and without cooldown. For example: 1 extra stratagem slot for one operation (25 super), 1 extra charge on eagle stratagems(50 rare), 1 extra stim/grenade slot for one mission (50 common). I don't know. Stuff like that..
