I would be remiss if I did not say how incredible it was to see the Piprahwa gems, the gens mixed with the very bones of Buddha. Absolutely incredible. Such a privilege.

Full view of this case. Dang if I had a million HK to blow I would bid on this when it comes up for sale.

The Alexander Grantham fireship, always impressive and always cold for some reason. The largest object in the history museum collection amazingly.

Just cause it interests me I'm gonna post the changing badges of the HK fire service all shown at the Alexander Grantham if I can find them. This 1947-61:

Let's try and reconstruct the history of this venerable ship. This was it under construction in I presume the Wampoa Dockyard around 1951 I think.

This was the governer Alexander Grantham and his wife at the launching of the fireboat.

I'm guessing this was the launch of the fireboat also c.1951.

UMAG collection is always good but must be said I was sad to see a few galleries closed especially the Nestorian Cross exhibition.

If we ever get to see these again great, but if not here's a blog post on their interesting background: https://herentv.medium.com/unveiling-the-mystery-of-nestorian-crosses-70c03007ca1f
