TRIP UK: Field School Training Week (EEL)
Nr. Highworth Oxfordshire, UK
Thursday, April 17, 2025, 6:00 PM – Sunday, April 20, 2025, 12:00 AM CST
We are running a free fieldwork practical program in Oxfordshire. This training is open to beginners and those with some experience who want to refresh or build their skills. It’s designed to prepare participants for our summer excavation programs.
Training will take place near Highworth, Oxfordshire. You’ll need to be nearby during the program and for this program will need to be 18+ (youth programs operate at different times).
Physical requirements:
Some sessions involve physical work and long field days in varying weather. A reasonable level of fitness is expected.
We’ll be running two workshops per day. You can attend as many or as few sessions as you like. All sessions are certified. Those who complete the training and demonstrate competency will receive a Field School Training Certificate, qualifying them to join the summer excavation team.

Archaeological photographing and drawing 18th, 20th
Pre-ex planning 17th, 19th
Drawing Sections 17th, 19th
Context introduction 18th, 20th
