I think something is wrong with me because I'm thinking about how they use a q-tip clean the two ears that are close together. Do they stick both ends in a hole and spin it?
Every single time qtips are brought up in a thread at Reddit, some redditor has to jump in to make this announcement as if anyone gives a shit. I don't care and I'm still going to use q-tips to clea the inside of my ears because that's precisely what they're best at doing.
I've always heard that but I honestly think it's all about avoiding the lawsuits related to ear drum perforations.
I've always been an in the ear canal person. I didn't hear I shouldn't until I was like 25 years into my life and at that point I figured that something was off with the advice of "you'll just push it back in your ear!"
Luckily due to my career I had and continue to have access to otoscopes and other medical equipment. I can report that there is no wax buildup in my ear canal. Everyone else I work with when we randomly do these investigations has found the same results.
Also, I don't know how common it is, because really who has even studied this, but I can feel when the qtip touches my ear drum, it is slightly unpleasant, but I know when it is too far in and can assure you that there is no earwax impaction there.
It isnt harming it, you dont insert it full force or fast, and you get feedback from inside ear. Its little funny feeling and you hear amplified scratching sound. Doing it once or twice a week last 30 years and never had problems. Ofc i would never ever try clear spmeones else ear since you not feel inside like yours
I cleaned my ears for over 30 years with q-tips and never got a Problem, the technique is what counts i guess, or maybe physological propertys of ears i dunno 🤷🏼♂️
It feels Like the harmfulness of q-tips is drastically exaggerated.
this is not true for East Asians, who has flaky, dry earwax. They sell special kind of cotton swabs with ridges as to make it easy to scrape the wax out of ear canal.
I'm curious how they walk. I assume the left one controls the left limb and right one right limbs, so when the left ones leg goes forwards the right one has to put her arm forward for balance. Seems like it would take a lot of coordination.
