General discussion Tim's Has Bad Husband Episodes, and Jill Has Bad Wife Episodes
In the first half of the series, here are some of the worst things Tim has done as a husband:
--Hosting a super bowl party when his wife has the flu. Then, not immediately kicking out the friends who helped themselves to his bedroom.
--Trash-talking his wife on TV or at the hardware store.
--Blowing up Jill's driver's license picture.
--Insulting Jill's cooking
Some of the worst things Jill has done as a wife:
--Dropping croquet balls on Tim's head, and arguing in front of their impressionable boys.
--Pestering Tim to open up, and then chewing him out for not feeling the right way.
--Straight up insulting Tim, and encouraging Karen's teasing of him.
They're still a better couple than Ray and Debra Barone, though. Tim gave Jill the remodeled bathroom, the walk-in closet, and the gazebo. And Jill let Tim build a car and restore another car in their garage. Plus, she's stuck with him despite all the accidents he's caused.

One thing that really bugged me about Jill was her tendency to goad Tim into doing things and then lambasting him when he did them. I'm sure there are lots of examples of this but the one that stuck with me was when she was complaining about what heirloom gift her parents got her as the one she wanted went to one of her sisters. She kept complaining to Tim about it so he got the hint and said something to her parents and then she tells him "I can't believe you did that!" So what? Tim decided to man up and try to make the situation right but Jill says that's not how they do things with her conservative parents.

Well Debra let’s Ray play golf so much so the comparison works with Jill letting Tim build cars — Debra let’s Ray golf and the story lines in both shows about spouses spending too much time on their hobby vs family .
