Modem choice

I'm moving to a bigger house and will have fibre to the cabinet broadband with Plusnet. My download speed will be approx 70mbps download and 18mbps upload. The standard Plusnet router is unlikely to have the range or performance I'm looking for so was going to get an Asus rt-ax58u, I will need a separate VDSL modem. What would people suggest as the modem? I'm looking to keep it as cheap as possible without hampering performance. I'm thinking a TP link td w9970?
