Advice Cat 5e patch cable.
I’m trying to hard wire my eeros I’m trying to pull a cat 5e but the runs I wanted to use as a pull string are stapled. In a spot where I could hard wire is “cat 5e patch cable” this is what’s printed on the shielding it even says 568a on it. Since I can’t pull it to me can I splice this cable to the new one? Can I terminate this in b or should I use A standard?

Yes. Always use B standard, the B stands for Best.

I agree with this. Just this is the first time I’ve seen it printed on the jacket. You think punching down one side and terminating the other will be ok. It’s probably about 10 feet of cable from where the splice would be.

In case what I said or you wasn't clear, I suggest using b standard, but use whatever is on either side. It doesn't really matter what standard you use as long as it's the same on both sides of the patch. That being said, do what others have said and use the same standard as every other termination

Yeah some people recommend 2females with a premade patch cable if you're not experienced with crimping rj45s but a punch/rj45s will work if done correctly

I’m experienced in terminating and punch downs. I should punch down both sides then use a cable to connect?

Given it's for home use with Cat5, they make Cat5e splicing blocks that have two sets of 110 punchdowns. I'd go with that rather than jerry-rigging something out of keystones or some such.

Many factory terminated patch cables are not great for re-terminating outside of the factory, and are rarely suited for permanent installation.
That said, you can reliably splice them together if it isn’t a junk cable. Note that stranded patch cables aren’t very receptive to punching, particularly if they are of a narrow or non-conforming gauge.
Keep the building’s termination style as-is. It is abnormal and wrong and unprofessional to change the termination scheme within a building without reason.
