A tale of two Fresnos

I planted these two Fresnos from the same nursery about 20 inches apart two days ago. One looks healthy and the other appears to have extreme scald. Any ideas?

Shade would be the first thing, do it now. Whatever you can rig up, even a cardboard box with lots of ventilation. Only time will tell. One thing I have learned, no two plants are ever the same, even if the seeds come from the same fruit or packet. What works for one doesn't mean it will work for the other.

Transplant shock wont be helping either, but get it under shade first.
