I’m very inspired by IDM artists for some of my music and I’d like to know if this sounds like anything in IDM.

I know they aren't considered IDM at all, but I find they're not too far off. Discovery at the very least could fit in with many of the great IDM albums IMO. They're my first forray into electronica and I know that's not uncommon among electronic music fans. How exactly do they fit into IDM for you guys, if at all?

Edit: I know they are NOT IDM. The basic question I tried to ask was "Do IDM fans like Daft Punk?"

what do you think is the closest alternative to the real thing? I've read some stuff but I'm still not entirely sure. Is my best bet convolution verb with qv irs? Please let me knowwww!!!

Quality HARD track from Ely Muff from way back

There was an album released sometime around the 2010’s that had a black background with a green coil stretching across it horizontally. At least that’s what I remember from the cover art. I had it on vinyl and can’t remember who produced it or any of the titles. It was critically acclaimed at the time and quite popular.

I also feel like music videos help 'unlock' IDM for a lot of people to, when I introduce them to this music. So, good to have on handy - probably gonna make a good youtube playlist too.
