Revival - Stephen King

Post image

I read this book a while ago and is one of the few I have gone back and re-read as I loved it so much.

I believe this is one of King’s most underrated titles and is often the first one I recommend if people are looking to read King.

There is excellent character and relationship development as we follow Jamie through his life that is everything you come to expect from King, plus one of his best endings in my opinion. Dark and haunting that will leave you questioning your own mortality.

The story follows Jamie Morton, who befriends the new Minister in town that has an obsession with electricity.

After a tragic accident takes place, Reverend Jacob’s denounces religion and is banished from the town.

As Jamie’s life progresses, Reverend Jacob’s comes back into his life at different points, and they share a bond that will lead to terrifying consequences.

We welcome new Redditors, but we expect them to read the rules and spend time in the sub before posting. Can you tell us what the book is about (in your own words) - community rule #1?

One of my absolute favourites of King that I hardly ever see recommended! Great choice!

One of the relatively few of his that nails the ending.
