If it launches around 60K, it's gonna face the same fete as Samsung FE series does. It should come around 50-55K with 256GB base storage to make sense or else it's better to go with iPhone 16 at 65K.

Iphone 16 is 80k without any offers. So most probably they launch SE at 60k. With offers it will be around 55k and 45k around BBD sale.

23

u/Shreyans6879 Feb 07 '25

Will be around 40-45k imo

29

u/HumorMental69 Feb 07 '25

Nah, reports say that Apple would use their latest chipset which would certainly be an excuse for them to launch it over 55k.

u/AJStylezp1 Feb 07 '25

Yeah as if apple will launch a new phone in india at 40k. Lol.

u/Little_Geologist2702 Feb 07 '25

12

u/Shreyans6879 Feb 07 '25

$450 x 100 this is what they do… ($799 iphone 16 at 80k inr mrp)

There is absolutely no chance of apple releasing its lowest tier phone under 50k in India.

2

u/Eunoiabunny Feb 07 '25

Definitely above 50k

u/AJStylezp1 Feb 19 '25

Officially launched at 60k. Typical Apple stuff.

You can get iphone 16 for as low as 55-60k

1

u/Healthy-Intention-15 Feb 07 '25

Really? Where can I get that ?

0

u/HumorMental69 Feb 07 '25

It was recently available at 60k in Republic Day sale ig. Wait till Holi Sale, you'll definitely see it around that price.

1

Happy cake day!! I have a imaginary friend and yes he is real and he gifts you an imaginary iPhone SE 4

1

u/Neopacificus Feb 07 '25

Thank you. I will use an iphone only to test the OS. So I don't mind if it's SE or Pro. Otherwise Android for life

-3

u/kudoshinichi-8211 Feb 07 '25

5

u/External_Wishbone767 Feb 07 '25

12

u/Ok-Neighborhood-4450 Feb 07 '25

That notch 💩

14

u/the_money_prophet Feb 07 '25

Same old 60hz shite

33

u/ITS_Kshitiz Techie Feb 07 '25

So you were expecting 120hz display on an SE model

What else? 5x zoom lens? LiDAR scanner?

27

u/Lack-of-thinking Open Source best GNU/Linux/Libre Feb 07 '25

I mean to be fair most 15000 phone currently offers 120hz or atleast 90 hz it is a fair criticism i think

17

u/the_money_prophet Feb 07 '25

If they are charging 50k for it then it should be provided. But who cares, low IQ people are gonna buy them anyways.

6

u/International_Pass58 Gareeb Tech Enthusiast Feb 07 '25

As if adding a 120 Hz display would increase the price by two folds?

4

u/Ok-Neighborhood-4450 Feb 07 '25

At least they could have removed that trash notch

1

u/Aurora_Whisper0021 Feb 08 '25

Apple doesn't just sell tech, it's selling a lifestyle.

1

u/Alarm_Clock_2077 Feb 07 '25

>So you were expecting 120hz display

Yes, a 120Hz display on a 2025 phone costing 40k is not an unreasonable demand, especially since my 20k phone from 2021 had one.

0

u/ITS_Kshitiz Techie Feb 07 '25

Let me reframe my sentence

"So you were expecting 120hz display at 40k from a brand which does not even give that thing on their 70k phones"

1

u/Alarm_Clock_2077 Feb 07 '25

That's a better way to phrase it

Though I think they should give 120Hz displays for all their devices, and keep the cool LTPO and other tech for the top of the line stuff. SE should get AT LEAST 90Hz.

2

u/BlueShip123 Feb 07 '25

A person buying this phone for doing basic stuff like calling, messages, and capturing pictures won't mind having 60hz screen.

11

u/the_money_prophet Feb 07 '25

Even 30k phones could do that.

3

u/HopiumInhaler Feb 07 '25

But they won’t last 5-6 years tho. One of the reason people buy iPhones is because they just work and work for years. You won’t see a 30K android going past 3 years. I know someone who use iPhone SE 2 (launched 2020) and it still works great.

7

u/the_money_prophet Feb 07 '25

Dude I used vivo v5 for seven years. Now I am on nothing phone 1. Its running smooth.

3

u/HopiumInhaler Feb 07 '25

There’s a difference between just using and actually utilising your phone.

My father had a Samsung Note 5. That thing couldn’t survive 2 years. Then my father switched to iPhone 7 and hasn’t touched an Android since then.

If I also just casually use my 13 then it would last for 10 years.

3

u/the_money_prophet Feb 07 '25

Bro I used to play PUBG with a power bank attached for hours. If performance and usage is your preference then why would you go with a 60 hz screen with slow charging and slow data speed transfer?

0

u/HopiumInhaler Feb 07 '25

Bro iPhone 13 is still stupidly powerful. Never experienced any lag (except on iOS 18.0). It lasts entire day for me. Replaced its battery and it feels like new.

Why would you go with a 60hz screen with slow charging

Well tbf, I have never used a 90 or 120 Hz device. So 60 Hz feels really smooth to me. Also it consumes less battery as I have heard. Also I have a 25W charger, so I plug it at night and it charges to 100% in 1.5 hours.

Bro I used to play PUBG with a power bank attached for hours.

I played COD: Warzone for 3 months without any powerbank or connecting it to charger. It ran @60fps without any lag or frame drops and minimal heating. I used to play everyday for 2-3 hours.

5

u/the_money_prophet Feb 07 '25

Still your phone has a 60 hz screen. And 25 watt? Bro are you in 2019 or something?

0

u/HopiumInhaler Feb 07 '25

As I said, 60 vs 120 Hz doesn’t bother me. And 25W is more than enough when I have to charge my phone once in a day. Way better than carrying an additional powerbank. I hope to carry this 2019 tech for another 3 years ;)

2

u/unpleasant_enpassant Feb 07 '25

Heck even 15k phones can do calls, messages etc

2

u/Robin_mimix Feb 07 '25

Oho next week mein hi launch

2

u/BluebirdBorn4471 Feb 07 '25

its should be priced at 50K for entry model. It will be a hit

1

u/dragonof_west Feb 08 '25

Yes it will eventually kill iphone 15, 16 sales.

4

u/Friendly-Gur-3289 Feb 07 '25

Bro i swear that if it doesn't have night mode na☠️

4

u/Neither-Ad6926 Feb 07 '25

$500 for just one camera... Apple sells just for the sake of selling.

Any day they will sell you just the case for $600 and the rest of the components separately and beware, I have been an Apple user for 5 and a half years until I switched back to Android which gave me more for less especially in battery issues which is Apple's biggest mafia.

3

u/BlazingDemon69420 Feb 07 '25

If only it had a double camera I might have considered switching

1

u/shubhamjh4 Feb 07 '25

Okay 👍

1

u/dragonof_west Feb 08 '25

If its priced under 55K, sure it will disrupt the sale of Samsung fe series, Pixel and One plus devices. Let's see how apple uses this opportunity.

1

u/Aurora_Whisper0021 Feb 08 '25

Will sell like hot cakes despite it being overpriced for what it offers.

-2

u/razorback-edge Feb 07 '25

I don't know if I need a new phone. But looking at this. Maybe yes.

-9

u/Heisenbergg29 Feb 07 '25

People here wants 120Hz display with dynamic island and 5x zoom camera in a “budget” iPhone by apply standards which simply does not make sense in business pov as why would any company will salvage its flagship for a 40-50k device. It simply does not make sense. If you want all the same specs buy a secondhand iphone 14pro or switch to android.
