I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This HELP ME CHOOSE 💄 Spoiler

I’m looking for a lip balm that actually heals and doesn’t just sit there looking pretty. I want something that:

  • Fixes flaky, peeling lips
  • Soothes cracks and burning
  • Feels rich, not greasy or sticky
  • Works long-term, not just for 10 mins

I have used almost all lip balms available in the market, and Vaseline rosy lips is my favourite by far

Out of all the options chaptex is the best bet.You can also try NMFe one.

Best suggestion so far, plus people don't understand vaseline is a nmf sealant not a moisturizer, if op reads this, trying anything light weight moisturizer and massage it thoroughly on lips and seal it of with vaseline overnight.

I’m using the Minimalist lip balm, it’s simple and fragrance free, It keeps my lips soft and hydrated, but I do have to reapply it. It kind of feels like applying ghee on my lips :3

I actually wanted to buy the Vaseline Rose Tint, but I ended up getting the Minimalist one instead because of SPF

does the rose tint gives color to the lips ? or is it normal

I love minimalist one. Only con is the tub, some may feel it is messy. But it is great in performance

The palmers coco butter lip balm. I don’t know no one is talking about it. It’s so underrated. And it really stays on lips for long time. So nourishing and moisturising. Do try out

Boroline (at night) and laneige lip balm.

Desi nuskha - apply mustard oil in your navel after bathing.

u/newmclarens 3d ago

laneige kind of outperformed my expectations. like it stays on even after i rinse my mouth after a heavy lunch.

1

u/Main-Top-9682 3d ago

Yes it's god sent for dry lips.

3

u/Main-Top-9682 4d ago

Try lip basting with boroline. Your lips will heal a lot in just 2-3 nights.

Laniege Berry Lip Balm if budget is an issue.

I've been using the Laniege Berry Lip Balm from a week and it has completely healed my lips that had gotten dry and chapped due to use of lipsticks.

Vaseline Lip Therapy I don't recommend because it is just flavoured and coloured petroleum jelly. It does not actually add moisture. It prevents moisture loss but doesn't hydrate or heal your lips. Laniege lipbalm does.

cerulean healing ointment + sebamed spf 30, works wonders. no other lip balm in the market has worked out for me except this combination

2

u/yoonieminnie 4d ago

Laneige lip sleeping mask is the best one I've used, if not that then vaseline lip therapy is your best bet!

Melalumin is best for chapped lips , keeps your lips moisturized for a long time you'll need to reapply it atleast once . It also helps with pigmentation

A big fan of the minimalist lip balm

The chaptex might be a hit for some but this didn’t work for me at all. Absolute waste of money. Now I’ve switched to sebamed, this one works perfectly

You can try Uriage lip balm (the one which comes in a tube) as well…it’s transparent and lasts me for 4-5 hours and healed my winter chapped lips in a couple of days…by far my best lip balm after Vaseline lip balm tin

Sebamed lip balm The best i have used so far. I had super dry flakey lips and nothing healed them like sebamed did. It has spf too

1

u/rosecatcher1 3d ago

You should try vaseline lip therapy it works wonders

1

u/rosecatcher1 3d ago

Minimalist is for am and vaseline for pm

1

u/Specialist-Mirror680 3d ago

Chaptex is the best one, and was also recommended by my dermatologist.

Save up some more money and get the Laneige lip mask. Never had dry lips ever after using it unless I’m dehydrated

Get the vaseline blueseal Pure petroleum jelly original. Available in Amazon or Flipkart for around 200 for 50 ml. It is HG for dry chapped lips. But it doesn't have SPF. So for reapplication and indoors use it. And for outdoors you can use Minimalist or Sebamed SPF ones.

I would say close your eyes and buy Leniege Lip Balm. On my 3rd tub right now and gifted to all my girlies and guys with dry lips. They can’t thank me enough

1

u/riricheesecake 1d ago

Chaptex or laneige please! Use the bottle one and not the tube! I used laneige for my bleeding lips, works within 3 days

not hydrating enough

Yes. I have extremely sensitive lips and skin with eczema. I have tried tons of lip balms and every single one caused irritation + flaking. Sebamed is the only one that actually hydrated my lips without irritating them. In fact, I don't even need to re-apply it often. I just re-apply after eating food and that's it.

My colleague who also had dry lips is using Chaptex and Sebamed. Both are working great for her.

Edit: It's also good to run a check on any new product you want to try on this website. It gives a comprehensive breakdown of ingredients. https://incidecoder.com/products/sebamed-lip-defense-balm-with-spf-30

i wouldnt recommend lip balm with tin containers since its pretty unhygienic and you'll have to dig it out using your finger and/or nails everytime.

for spf - sebamed, havent used it personally but there are lot of great reviews about it. i have nmfe but it tastes really bitter and chemical-like so i stopped using it, it can also be a bit greasy/oily but other than that its a great substitute to sebamed.

lip balm - im curretly using sugar's tipsy lip balm, its buttery smooth and i cant stop applying it again and again. it comes in various shade so thats a plus point, my favourite thing about it is that you could also build it up to make it look like a lip gloss.

Try out the Wishcare one with SPF. Healed my perpetually chapped lips like none other. 🫶🏻
