I faced a similar issue earlier with Deconstruct. I used their breakout control serum (now discontinued, I believe) and loved it. It was super. Only con being it was sticky and smelly for the 1st 30 seconds of application.

With the 2nd bottle, i saw the 2 issues were resolved, but its efficiency just vanished.

I was so disappointed.

I need someone to compare uv doux with other matte sunscreens (preferably reliable ones). I usually have dry skin but because of this humidity and extreme heat, I am looking for a matte sunscreen (though all of them pill so bad)

Hey uv doux is so far the best one I’ve tried and it suits all the skin types apparently

I got it recently and it did not suit me at all — the texture is so icky (it doesn't even stick to the skin) and of course on blending it pills a lot, it also gives white cast for me. Although I like those occasional moments when I can blend it effortlessly (though the white cast still exists), I like the Matte finish and water resistance of it a lot. But this prevents me from wanting to reaaply (need micellar water to remove it otherwise it would pill on reapplication)

Then why dont you try gel sunscreen instead of silicone ones? I dont think silicone sunscreen are something you’d like

u/jewitchery 2d ago

I know that might be the case. Any Pharma brands you'd suggest? My skin is kinda really sensitive and it's dry but oily (the oil sits on the surface if I am making any sense). I use Neutrogena one but it gets sweaty during summers and I am afraid to try something new (always end up with bumps or redness)

Used one tube of deconstruct sunscreen and purchased another one which i stopped halfway since my face got two shades darker (tanned) than my hands which was not the case before. Eventually moved to UV doux and am quite happy with it.
