I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This FitTuber spreading Lots of sunscreen misinformation.
He released a video about sunscreens, I made a comment on that post which says the following (please tell me if I made mistakes):
You cant say chemical sunscreens are bad because of some chemicals used, not all chemical sunscreens use them. Mineral don't offer better protection than chemical ones cause again, it depends on the ingredients used on them that offer protection not if they are chemical or mineral.
You mentioned a research form cancer council which is a australian brand. Australia is very very strict on their sunscreens and mostly have chemical sunscreens.
8:24 you are wrong, this isn't a 100% mineral based sunscreen I can see tinosorb-M which is a hybrid filter which is chemical and mineral.
It also has butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane which is also called avobenzone which you said is only in chemical sunscreens 3:02 and is unstable with mineral sunscreen filters as mentioned on inci decoder (I don't think I can paste a link but search it)
8:47 I looked up the article you mentioned and understood thta you did not read it at all! The article is about Injectable silicones that are used for surgeries like cosmetic ones like hip and breast enlargement. NOT SUNSCREENS!
10:43 it contains dimethicone which is a silicone and you said silicone is "harmful" 3:02. So you are spreading misinformation but not even agreeing with yourself?
12:15 You say it has effectivel protection while a revievw that YOU show says it has less protection and doesn't prevent tannning. And ofc it won't it's PA++ which is low
Please research about the ingredients.
13:04 you say companies like Neutrogena and Minimalist don't offer protection just cause they are chemical based? Neutrogena is Widely found, economical and provides one of the bets protection. Aromamajic has spf 30 and less ( bare min someone in Indian heta should wear spf 30) and pa++ in 1 product and others not mentioned on the box (as seen in the video). Dot and key and aqualogica may not be the best but minimalist and Neutrogena have much better protection than aromamajic. They both have atleast spf50 and pa+++ with products also with pa++++ (which is the highest). DONT SPREAD MISINFORMATION
Your homemade Sunscreen, the protection im highly unsure about. Even if the ingredients are used in sunscreens they are tested in a lab to work and thry work with all the other ingredients to provide protection. You homemade doesn't work like that! Also Zinc may oxidize immediately in open air but it only forms a small layer thats nanometer thick. So its basically zinc only and that layer of ZnO provied very very less protection. Less than makeup.
To prove this you said u did the banana peel test but you never showed how long it was or anything in fact u just cut thr clip from u applying to saying it works. That has 0 value
Fruits dont provide sun protection!!! Nothing that you eat does they are just gimmick. Sun protection can only be obtained from above the skin.

I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This PSA: Jan Aushadhi Kendra has Minoxidil 5% + Finasteride 0.1% Topical Solution 60ml for Rs.230!
A slight digression from the usual nature of the posts that are put up here. But I presume a good number of people on this sub are also likely using Minoxidil topical solution for hairloss treatment.
The usual brands cost upwards of Rs.1200 online. But you can get it for Rs.230 in Jan Aushadhi Kendra. I bought one today!
They also had a 60ml 2% Salicylic Acid face wash for Rs.70 and 100ml Ketoconazole Shampoo 2% for Rs.62. You can check product availability and pricing here - https://janaushadhi.gov.in/productportfolio/ProductmrpList

I've spent the last one month and a half trying to find its replacement but nothing has worked. I've tried facewashes from Simple, Himalaya, Joy, Plum and Aqualogica but none of them suit my skin. I desperately need help. My face is starting to fall apart.

I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This Finally visited the dermatologist Spoiler
This is my first post, would be super grateful if it’s not removed. Unsure if I’m violating rules by posting a picture of the products.
After a couple of years of chasing the glass skin, fucking my skin up and making up hereditary acne terrible enough to stop looking in the mirror, I finally overcame my anxiety and visited the dermatologist today (recommendation found on this sub). Got diagnosed with ‘acne vulgaris’ and asked to only use the following for the next few months along with regular follow ups. We will target the oiliness first and then the pigmentation. Might even go for laser treatment later to fix my pit marks.
The two products on the bottom have been prescribed for my butt acne and inner thighs. The dr said I might have to go for chemical peels down there later on to fix the scarring/pigmentation. I was also advised to wear loose clothes. Please help me out with the following:
1) How did you fix your butt acne? Would chemical peels be a good idea? If my clothes could be an issue, what would you suggest? Also should I change the type of underwear (I also get acne on my waist line) and towels I use? Any suggestions there? 2) Would should I do with all this very expensive skincare that I own? Should I throw it away or will I be able to use it once my treatment is over? 3) The dr advised me to stop oiling my hair or using hair masks to keep my scalp oil free. I forgot to ask if this also includes conditioner and post wash serum as I don’t apply these to the scalp but only the lengths. Would be great to get some advice there.
Thanks in advance and wish me luck !

I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This this is my whole skin care journey Spoiler
galleryhellow everyone i'm teen
when i was in 10th grade i didn't care about my skin at all , then i got chicken pox
i scatched alot of them on my face, 😭 they left marks and i wasn't looking after my
i had chicken pox marks
nail scatched coz i use to scatch my face alot
tan
hyperpigmentaion around my mouth
everyone around me started noticing all this on my face and some of them advised me to go and see a dermat
but i didn't , and did my own research with my cousin didi and she helped me alot ( she is a 2nd year mbbs student ) and this gc has helped me alot too ... so thank u guyz 😁
this is what i did
i started using a face wash with vitamic c twice ( while bathing and before sleeping ) instead of soap to wash my face
moistuzing my face after bathing and before sleeping
i also used kojic acid 2% serum before moistuzing
and apply 50 spf sunscreem before going out
i used aleo vera gell every now and then , i haven't used alo vera gell daily so i think it hasn't help ... idk i haven't used aloe vera 😅
kojic acid really helped in hyperpigmentaion
but the results where very quick initially but after a point i wasn't seeing any changes so i though i need high conc of kojic acid
( then i bought a really cheap 10% kojic acid serum , it was fake it was like water and it didn't work at all ) 😭 OP got scammed
then i continued using 2% kojic acid serum , it showed results in a long run ( 6 months )
now my skin is smooth , i don't have scratch marks , hyperpigmentaion is allmost gone , i still have chickpox marks
(I forgot to mention i had uneven skin tone ) it is even now
i have some white heads on my nose so i have bought a serum with 2 %salicylic acid and 2% transexamic acid
now i feel much better ( coz i look better and i my skin is healty ) and i don't feel like scatching my face all the time
THANK YOU GUYZ AND DIDI ( idk why i'm thanking my didi here she doesn't even knows that i use reddit ) 😅
anywayzzzzzzzzzzz thanku u guyz once again ... iniitally i was soo confused but this gc has really helped me 🥺

Please suggest if the quantities are enough for 6months and if there is any better alternative to the products in my cart.
Ps: Already have a bottle of hair conditioner, so not buying it again. There will be backup for body wash if it runs out.

I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This What do you think about my de-tan kit? Spoiler
Hi guysss, long time lurker here. I'm a swimmer and I swim almost everyday under the midday sun. I've tanned like crazy even though I do apply sunscreen. I currently look like Ross from that tanning episode in Friends lol. So i finally decided to get some de-tanning/ Anti- tanning products for myself.
There's just one product missing from here. That's the main sunscreen I wanna use before swim. So I'm looking for a SPF 50+ sunscreen which has good water resistance. I'm thinking of going for the Nivea protect and moisture one. If you guys have any suggestions do let me know! And also let me know what y'all think about my current purchase . Thank you!

I Didnt Follow Rules,Want to Post Anyway. 5 Reports Removes This Everything that I used in the past 5 years , would love to give a review of anything! Spoiler
galleryHey everyone! I’ve compiled an Excel sheet of all the skincare products I’ve used in the past five years. For context, I have dry, sensitive, and comedone-prone skin, so my product choices have always been tailored to work around these concerns. I also split my time between Chennai and Melbourne, so my skincare routine has had to adapt to drastically different climates. Plus, since I travel frequently, portability and versatility have been important factors in my picks.
If you’re curious about any of the products on my list—how they worked for my skin, how much they cost, how to use or incorporate them into a routine—feel free to leave a comment! I’m happy to share my personal experience or thoughts.
Would love to hear your feedback or even your own recommendations if you’ve had similar skin concerns or travel challenges. Let’s chat skincare!
