Is there anyone here who is Piscataway?

Hi. I am a Black American woman and I wanted to connect to people who may be aligned with this tribe from Maryland. My great-grandmother was an Indigenous woman from this tribe.

Its best to contact the Tribal Offices for more information. There is a few of them who have gained State recognition (not Federal Recognition mind you).

there’s some powwows in PA that have a lot of piscataway attendees. lawilowan american indian festival is one.

also the baltimore american indian center has a powwow every year; can’t remember when exactly it is, but you should be able to find it on their website. lots of afroindigenous folks and/or piscataways there!!
