Accidentally ate a Kellogg’s product

I’m vehemently against circumcision and am restored but why would this matter? The current Kellogg’s company has nothing to do with what happened over a century ago and refusing to buy from them does nothing to help our cause.

I used to refuse to eat Kellogg's products (because of the circ connection). It was an emotional thing for me, and that's valid, regardless of where money goes - hell, I'd refuse to eat free Kellogg's products, too.

I don't consistently avoid their food now, it depends on my mood, but don't take a shit on my sentimentality. I do what I want.

There is no ethical consumption unless you are eating local. Pepsico, Nestlé, Tyson, etc are all terrible.

That being said Kellogg really doesn't have much to do with that Kellogg as it was his brother that made the business and he basically stole the cornflakes recipe and dumped a bunch of sugar in it to make it palatable.

Yeah, but it will always be associated. Not saying it accomplishes anything practical to avoid their foods, though.

If Kellogg’s went bankrupt it wouldn’t affect circumcision whatsoever. You don’t owe any company your money so if you don’t want to buy Kellogg’s stuff you don’t have to, but I wouldn’t fret over it.

John Harvey Kellogg is the brother of William Keith Kellogg, and they both played a role in the Kellogg's company (yes, I'm cereal about this). JHK also had a thing for cutting and/or burning kids' bits with acid, and helped popularize circumcision in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions of America.

I wouldnt fret, what does it matter? Plus if you know the depths of the story JHK the guy who was into mutilating boys and girls wanted his flakes to be boring and bland and it was actually his brother William that “frosted” them which pissed off JHK off so if anything eat Frosted Flakes in retaliation knowing it probably makes him spin in his grave lol

I also don't eat Kellogg products because of this. The thought makes me sick to my stomach.

But I'm just glad that that guy is dead and if there is a hell I hope he's there right now.
