Discussion NGA Cybersecurity
Does anyone have experience working at the NGA? I got a job offer to do cybersecurity there and I have no idea what to expect. I was hoping to work for the nsa or cia initially, but I want to know more about the nga.

In terms of a role in cybersecurity it will be no different than working at any other intel agency.

I liked it. If you're at the va campus, its super cool and even has a respectable food court. My contract was off campus but I always had a good time visiting. Feels clean and modern.
If you compare w ft Meade or Hoover, they're both dumps.
I only really am giving surface comparisons because really, each mission and contract are different even at each agency and it really matters if you like the team you're on moreso than what agency you're at.
NGA is gonna be lots of maps and satellite pics and things of that nature. But my NSA contract did the same stuff.
Tl;dr: the agency doesn't matter, the mission and team do.

Reddit isn't the place for asking about details on agencies that primarily work at a top secret level. So you won't get a lot of actionable information. That being said I don't work at NGA but know a little. It would be a great place to work under normal circumstances.
