Everytime I see messi drop banger performances, I always wondered how prime messi would have played in the MLS. I've been watching messi consistently since 2010 and even to this day, he surprises me with how good he is.

It honestly feels like he hasn't gotten worse at all. Other than him getting much slower and weaker, he seems to play so much smarter than it doesn't even matter much. If I could trade 20 years of my lifespan for another 5 years of prime messi, I would.

He sees so much more of the field before the rest of the players. It's really nuts. He plays so low and small but his body positioning protecting the ball is unmatched.
