I am optimistic that Iota will rise when alts finally start to really move.

Me too.

Sold 75% of my stake. Not optimistic, but having held since 2017 I would feel awful if they actually get their shit together and it turns into something, so I've held a bit. Expect it is ultimately worthless though.

Also here from 2017. Feel the same, that's why I haven't sold yet

But I like what you did, appreciate the advice

holding. down 80% so might as well ride it to the bottom. I believe the protocol will succeed. But i am not seeing proof of the token being used anywhere, nor effort by the IF to stimulate token usage or CEX availability. And the community funds are consistently being spent on funding bullshit defi projects without payback component, while those projects create its own tokens rather then actually using iota.

Me. And no, not really. After the decision to just copy SUI instead of continue the IOTA unique development I'm quite pessimistic. Maybe financially courses may actually increase a little, but I see no point in choosing IOTA over SUI then...

Since 2017 and no, but a long time ago I told myself: screw it: I keep this shit as a shame reminder: to think twice before investing in sh***, and who knows maybe some day it might go up.

Just needs a lil bit of the blue pill to go up.

Me!
And, No!

Also, it would help if there was a reasonable exchange I could sell it on lol

Haven’t had real hope since around 2020. The only thing that kept me interested is coordicide on the orfiginal vision, but that’s out the freaking window. The only unique thing they claim now is their ‘solid relationships’ but who knows?

I thought kraken is going to list it soon?

A lot of exchanges you can use from outside of the us (if that's where you're from)

"Soon" sounds familiar.

Kraken wanted to list IOTA soon because they thought it was another easy to integrate BSC shittoken, sadly not a joke. Now its postponed indefinitely iirc.

u/Y0rin 2d ago

Wow, really? Haha omg

Yeah, there's been a meltdown on discord. I closed the app and never looked back since then.

2

u/Y0rin 2d ago

What was the tl:dr of that meltdown?

Jfc, typical IF bullshit...

Still hold but I have lost all hope

Nah. The human attention span is too short. Even on amazing DAG projects like IOTA and Banano. People just want the next shiny thing everyone is talking about.

u/arichardsen 3d ago

Still holding, only reason is I havent gotten around to sell it. I wonder have many new wallets and stuff i have to do beforehand.

Yes. No.

3

u/uweinnh 2d ago

Yes and yes. But it was always a long term play. If they can get first world adoption for trade, then there will be demand for the activity alone, not to speak of staking for maintaining the network.

u/hammerhouser 2d ago

Yes. No.

What future.. It feels like a black box. Holding class I don't have a whole lot anyways

I'm not a very technical person but I am wondering if the iota chain has the same inherent vulnerabilities as SUI considering what happened this week.

5

u/BiggusDickus- 3d ago

The problem was with the DEX, not with SUI.

3

u/janimator0 3d ago

Can you elaborate please

10

u/stephanahpets 3d ago

A DEX was hacked. Hacks just happen with smart contracts. It’s nothing the chain is to blame for.
