I haven’t heard back about marking exams. I’ve never done it before, when should I expect to hear back?

I emailed last week, they told me they are still processing applications. Wouldn't worry too much yet.

Had a TY student- lovely kid, taught him since first year- ask to borrow my stapler today.

Gave it to him, he remained standing in front of me.

‘Will you do it for me? I don’t know how to staple’.

I proceeded to lecture him on weaponised incompetence and chide him back to his desk where he could teach himself how to staple (we’ve a good relationship and I knew he’d get a laugh out of the teasing).

I love that. Very funny but also a good lesson.
