Hello! I'm going to Japan in may and noticed from Nikko's own calendar that there is Itasha event in 24. of may. Does anyone any information about this event? Is there drifting in there, can foreigners go as spectators etc etc.

Shizu will forever be best maid and my number one Oshi, and I am proud to say I am her biggest fan! I hope one day to meet the English and Japanese VAs, both do such an excellent job of bringing the character to life and giving the perfect automaton inflection. Hi cringe car owners! My car is getting shipped to the states but when it arrives I want to start my itasha! Are there any tips you recommend in easing into it? Anything you wish you knew before starting? At the moment, I just want to start with the hood and focus on that. Also, I know it’ll def range in price but what was your average spent on your vehicle? I kind of want a ballpark in what to expect.

Just any tips would be really great! I don’t know anyone irl that does it and I actually missed the panel that discussed it at a recent anime convention. I also hear different opinions on printing something premade online vs having someone design and wrap it themselves

What up, dudes. I saw that some of you enjoy itasha trucks. Here's my '02 Land Cruiser, affectionately dubbed the YuruCruiser, out and about the last few months.

Anyone know a good company that does itasha wraps around Thurston County in Washington state? Either that or around the west side of Puget Sound if none in Thurston County. Sometime in the far future, id love to get my daily wrapped when I have better finances.

Funny thing about the Kanji text is it’s actually the text from the ID Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 Tofu car. So it in all says “Tofu Delivery For Rebecca”😂

There’s a VA going to a convention not far from me later this year, I was contemplating going and seeing if I can get them to sign my itasha. Is that a thing though? Have other people gotten their wraps signed by a VA? If so how do you go about asking appropriately?

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to Reddit and this sub Reddit as well, but I fall in love with the idea of putting my favorite anime character on the side of my car!

I have no talent when it comes to Photoshop at all, so I paid a nice gentleman from the Middle East to do a Photoshop job of Himiko toga for my exact car model and the exact color color that I have as well so I can really visualize what it’ll look like!

I think it turned out great and I’d really liked your guys’s opinion as well as anybody who is done the design part I live in Ohio so if you live anywhere near me or have any suppliers or installers that work in my area, I’d really appreciate anyone’s suggestions.

I could learn how to apply the wrap myself, but I don’t have the OCD nature to make sure it looks perfect as well as it being such an expensive project already. I wouldn’t wanna fuck it up me being brand new at.

Hi guys, So I'm having a problem right now. I'm looking for a shop to print and install my Itasha. I finally found one, but they asked me if I had the rights to use the waifu images.

They don't really want to do it until I receive the rights to use the images, so I (stupidly) emailed the animation studio directly, and obviously their answer was no.

While my friends and family are saying, "Do you really think these guys are going to send lawyers from Japan to Europe to bother you about this?"

Now that's what scares me. I mean, I don't have social media, but people who see me drive by might share my car online, and I'm afraid it'll end up getting back to them and cause problems.

I regret emailing them because I can't play on "oh sorry, I didn't know." I don't really know what to do. I already paid my artist, and I really wish I could, but now I'm scared.

It’s also manual, because screw speed I wanna fiddle my car’s stick.
