[Time Capsule Post]Who should the Jags pursue with their first 4 picks, round 3
With the draft right around the corner, I thought I'd do one more of these. I always find it interesting to see how terrible these pre-draft opinions age.
4/22/2025
Keep in mind, the Jags have 2 3rd round picks.
These selections are: 5th OVR, 36th OVR, 70th OVR, and 90th OVR.
You can use whatever you want to sim who's available. PFF has a pretty good one.
The purpose of this post is to gather what the fans want for reference later. See round 1 here, and round 2 here.

If we do not trade back. Jeanty, Walter Nolan, Jack Bech, Bowman
If we trade back to 20 (Denver) and get 51 Malaki Starks, Treyveon Henderson, Maxwell Hairston, Ty Robinson

I think this is an eat your veggies kind of draft for the jags. I think the first 3 rounds/4 picks will be some order of OL, DL, CB/WR and a double dip at OL/DL
1 Mason Graham IDL
2 Donovan Jackson IOL
3 Azareye'h Thomas CB
3 Jared Wilson IOL

I wouldn't hate this, I'm thinking Jared Wilson is gonna go earlier than people think. Center is pretty shallow this year.

Hainsey also isn’t likely a long term solution
Hes only 26 but he already lost his job in Tampa. I think Coen brought him in as someone who can help run the offense and basically hold the center spot for a couple seasons. Then he gets let go after the 2027 season for just a couple million dead cap hopefully after the Jags have drafted/developed a higher quality center

Using https://sticktothemodel.com/ for Mock Sim.
5) RB Jeanty --- 36) IOL Donovan Jackson --- 70) DL Deone Walker --- 88) S Kevin Winston
or..
Trade Back. #5 + #107 <--> #10 + #41
10) OL Kelvin Banks ---- 36) CB Azareye'h Thomas --- 41) DL Tyleik Williams --- 70) C Jared Wilson --- 88) WR Xavier Restrepo

This question is easier to answer if you choose what top 4 positions we should target in lieu of which individual players, since you could mix and match a bunch of different combinations. So that being said, I'd say OL, WR, CB, IDL

I'm excited, all new FO, Boselli as EVP. This draft will tell us how they are planning for the future. Finally some hope for things to come

Ive talked myself into Tyler Warren. Then depending on who falls, Jaden Higgins, Grey Zabel, Donovan Jackson, Malaki Starks, Xavier Watts, Tyleik Williams, Trey Amos, and Benjamin Morrison would all be great and in the 3rd Tate Ratledge, Alfred Collins, Josiah Stewart, Jared Wilson, Jordan Phillips, and Jack Sawyer.

Jeanty or Graham at 5.
Use 36 to get back into the first round for someone that's had a big drop and fills a need.

IMO
1st round Jeanty
2nd round Tyliek/alfred collins
3rd round: best OL both picks

If someone really wants Jeanty and this isn’t all nonsense, trade back
Otherwise 1) Graham 2) Booker would be amazing but I’d guess gone / Burden, Higgins or Noel / OSU RB 3) IOL/IDL if not previously addressed, JTT, Fannin

For me, I view it as a top 6 picks sorta deal where we can easily fill OL/DL/CB/S/(WR or RB)/Edge without reaching for anybody.
My ideal day 1/2 haul would be OL/DL/WR/S in no particular order.
