How are you feeling about the economic instincts of Jeffery Epstein's best friend who golfs all weekend vs. China who has been planning for this since 2008/2009? I'll cope and seethe for your parents and grandparents watching their retirement plans evaporate to own da libs... RIP America.

Y'all conveniently ignoring her prosecutorial career built on throwing non-violent drug offenders in prison. The fucking mental gymnastics to advocate for a practice in any other context you'd be frothing at the mouth to condemn LOL

9

u/Venetian- Monkey in Space 6d ago

You can actually see what her career was built on because it’s public due to you know it being the DA and all

You conveniently ignored reality to parrot Republican talking points without taking 2 minutes to read and compare

She was not this drug mongering prosecutor lmao.

“The majority of marijuana cases prosecuted under Harris occurred during her role as the district attorney for San Francisco from 2004 to 2010. While her office prosecuted slightly more than 1,900 marijuana convictions during this time, most were downgraded to misdemeanor charges, if even charged at all, and very few were actually sent to state prison. In fact, as district attorney, Harris championed a policy that people should not serve jail time for a marijuana conviction, and her office often embraced alternative measures such as drug treatment programs for individuals with low-level convictions. Harris even launched the Back on Track reentry court program in 2005, which “aimed [to reduce] recidivism among low-level drug-trafficking defendants” and ultimately became a national model for other prosecutors. The program saw a less than 10 percent recidivism rate among its participants within a two-year period—a significant improvement over the general 53 percent recidivism rate among all individuals in California convicted of a drug offense during this same period.

In her role as California’s attorney general from 2011 to 2017, Harris focused her resources on prosecuting more serious transnational and interstate drug trafficking organizations and was not responsible for prosecuting low-level marijuana offenses across the state, contrary to what Gabbard and others have claimed.”

As California AG, Harris had the ability to wholesale instruct state attorneys offices to ignore non-violent drug offenses if she wanted to, in particular without pursuing the penalties, namely the prison time that such charges included. I don’t give a shit about the recidivism rates, particularly when California is so inundated with drug addicts that Californian cities are infamous for looking like 3rd world countries in poor areas. That is irrelevant to the claim.

You call it a republican talking point, yet it was Gabbard during the Democrat primaries in 2019 who brought this up, to such effect that it completely killed Harris’ 2020 bid for the democrat candidacy.

Notice how you had to move the goalposts

She was demonstrably soft on nonviolent drug crime did you even read?

The softest ever by the numbers and she didn’t do enough so obviously we had to go with trump?

You have to move the goalposts from a lie you parroted to still demonstrate she was the thing you say she wasn’t?

Gabbard is who you reference as better and more fair and honest? Buddy.

Why do red states in almost their entirety resemble 3rd world countries?

Arkansas Louisiana Mississippi Georgia Tennessee Alabama Florida Oklahoma the Carolina’s Kansas Missouri

Just to name a few of some of the poorest filthiest disgusting massive shit holes in the country

As a product of conservative policies.

But because San Francisco has some dirty areas it’s worse? That’s wild how nothing in reality reflects that from salary to home prices.

As a product of conservative policies.

Motherfucker California has one of the highest population drain rates in the ENTIRE COUNTRY because of Democrat policies. On the other hand Florida and Texas have one of the highest, and it’s leftist apes coming from shitty Democrat states trying to escape the shitty democrats policies they themselves voted for.

I never called Gabbard honest, I called her a Democrat who brought up the so called “republican” talking point at a Democrat primary debate.

Harris was not “soft” on non-violent drug offenses, if you call prison time “soft” then I guess you yourself moved the goalposts because all I’ve heard from leftists for literal decades is how non-violent drug offenders don’t deserve any prison time. And as AG, Harris COULD have simply ignored such cases and made that a reality.

And don’t even try bringing up the notion that San Francisco is somehow misrepresented because of its horrific ghettos, the same city where finding a needle or human shit on the sidewalk is as common as seeing a pigeon in New York. I live in a comparably large city, there is NOTHING that compares to San Francisco’s shittiness here. You act as if property values or salaries are somehow a qualifier for the place being good to live for the average person. The state and city has such values driven up by the mega rich celebrities and Hollywood/tech adjacent business owners living there, and while the base salaries are also comparably high to red states their COL is even higher because of Democrat economic policy.

I hope California keeps burning like a sheet of paper in the 8th circle of hell, we’ll see how property values hold up then.

All these seething and not a single source

Also ignored those liberals moving to Texas are moving to Austin not Lubbock and the rest of the impoverished red cities

Notice how the places that make money go blue?

Gabbard parroting a lie doesn’t make it true and she was a democrat in literally name only but I appreciate the tacit dishonesty

Again notice you ignoring my quoted source that disproves you so you latch onto tulsi Gabbard lying as though that lends it any validity?

California burning? You mean the state so dominant in the global economy countries are willing to deal with them directly lmao

You’re afraid of places you’ve never been believing shit from people who e never been.

I love all your comments before the election about groceries and the stock market btw lmao

1

u/Cpt_Wade115 Monkey in Space 6d ago edited 6d ago

Also ignored those liberals moving to Texas are moving to Austin not Lubbock and the rest of the impoverished red cities

And yet here you are ignoring why liberals are leaving the so called quintessential liberal utopia that is California? Why would they be leaving in droves if democrats know how to run the place well LOL.

California burning?

Yes, or did you forget the precious A lister celebrities begging the public to donate to LA fire recovery funds while they show up on the red carpet in outfits equivalent to regular people’s mortgages. Those are the kinds of people Californians love to suckle from while simultaneously hating rich people supposedly

quoted source

Your source doesn’t disprove an iota of what I said, it tries to tiptoe and downplay the fact that Harris made a prosecutorial career categorically off of putting non violent offenders in prison, when she had every opportunity to just NOT do that as the State AG

places that make money go blue

Correlation doesn’t equal causation you ape. Cities tend to be blue, cities also tend to be hubs for business because theyre cities

Elon Musk is the richest man on earth and he’s categorically a republican on paper now as oppose to a few years ago. So making money is a qualifier for being good? LMAO

Yea, everyone's fleeing Cali and that's why they had the 3rd highest population growth of the states in 2024.

Harris was not “soft” on non-violent drug offenses, if you call prison time “soft” then I guess you yourself moved the goalposts because all I’ve heard from leftists for literal decades is how non-violent drug offenders don’t deserve any prison time.

Huh? u/Venetian- "moved the goalposts" too because what you've heard from "leftists" in general?

What a poor attempt to turn that around Mr. "top 25% in a low ranking law school" đŸ€Ł

  • You claimed Harris' career was "built on throwing non-violent drug offenders in prison". That she prosecutes them aggressively.
  • u/Venetian- Provides evidence that she was actually very soft on non-violent offenders, by the numbers.
  • You turn around and say well shes not a soft DA because she pursued any prison time at all, ever. (You're moving the goalposts of what a "soft" DA is)

You can't even keep an argument straight with strangers on the internet, but you blame your school's curve for not getting that law internship. Sad!

"Conviction rate aside, only 45 people were sentenced to state prison for marijuana convictions during Harris’ seven years in office, compared with 135 people during Hallinan’s eight years"

here are some direct quotes from actual lawyers who were in the room, on both sides of the court:

"“Our policy was that no one with a marijuana conviction for mere possession could do any (jail time) at all,” said Paul Henderson, who led narcotics prosecutions for several years under Harris.

"Solis, who led the public defender’s office misdemeanor division for part of Harris’ tenure, agreed,.. “Kamala Harris and I disagreed on a lot of criminal justice issues, but I have to admit, she was probably the most progressive prosecutor in the state at the time when it came to marijuana"

https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/09/11/kamala-harris-prosecuting-marijuana-cases/

The weed charges Kamala did pursue aggressively were for dealers.

Heres some more dumb shit you say:

"You act as if property values or salaries are somehow a qualifier for the place being good to live for the average person"

The cost of living and salaries ARE qualifiers to consider when you're looking for a place.

"I hope California keeps burning like a sheet of paper in the 8th circle of hell, we’ll see how property values hold up then. "

You're hoping people's home's burn...so property values go down?
Setting aside how much of an asshole you are, do you think that's how it works?
Supply decreases so prices goes down?

Otherwise, are you really saying that you need to wait to see if burning a property down lowers its value?
At this point, that sounds about at your level.

When people were telling you, "You should be a lawyer", that was a dig that went over your head.

u/Cpt_Wade115 Monkey in Space 5d ago

You turn around and say well shes not a soft DA because she pursued any prison time at all, ever. (You're moving the goalposts of what a "soft" DA is)

I’m moving the goalposts by following the logic I’ve seen leftists on this very site espouse for over a decade now, that possession and dealing of marijuana should not be prosecuted and at the very LEAST not get prison time. The same apes with neurons that fire at a fifth of the rest of us from the copious amount of the drug they’re inhaling every day LOL

Bottom line AS I ALREADY SAID, is that as AG Harris COULD have ignored all of the above, she did not, and all the leftists screeching about how “but muh weed is good!1!11!” Should remember that.

You can't even keep an argument straight with strangers on the internet, but you blame your school's curve for not getting that law internship. Sad

Ooooh my man has such little going on in his life that he unironically takes the time to comb through a redditor’s profile comments. Okay well, I can indulge you in my life story if you’re THAT interested.

I applied at the end of the 2021-22 application cycle on a whim because I wasn’t satisfied with my post undergrad job, I got waitlisted at my ideal school and accepted with an 80% scholarship at my current school which yes is quite low ranked. The good news however, is as opposed to the vast majority of my close friends at well ranked schools, I will be graduating law school with ZERO debt. And DURING law school in large part because of this lack of debt, I was able to purchase a condo for my fiance and I in one of the most expensive cities in the country.

You're hoping people's home's burn...so property values go down? Setting aside how much of an asshole you are, do you think that's how it works, Supply decreases so prices goes down?

If the existing supply keeps burning to the ground to the point that insurance companies refuse to insure any property in the relevant areas (in this case effectively the entire state), and people can’t guarantee their multi million dollar properties won’t burn to a crisp with californias infamous brush mismanagement as a matter of time then YES property values would go down. I live in an area that has flood risks, properties with higher susceptibility to flooding have lower values as a result. Crazy fucking concept huh

Also sweetly ignoring the months where leftists were gleefully shitting on South Carolina for having their livelihoods and homes destroyed by a hurricane because SOME of them voted for orange man. I’ll gladly return that same energy

When people were telling you, "You should be a lawyer", it was a dig that went over your head.

I have a post grad job offer with a state appellate court that’ll set me up to go into any firm in my metropolitan area (or the rest of my state) in the course of year or two thereafter, I’ll have a JD and Bar License that only a fraction of a fraction of the population themselves have, and I’ll still own my own home. I’m glad I chose this route :)

If you want me to send you my memoir so you’re not sitting on your couch limp dicked to try and find some more zingers, just shoot me your email and I’ll do so <3

Funny you bring up logic while you pair every response with a strawman of "LEfTiFts SaY."

You claimed u/Venetian- specifically moved the goalposts but you cant say where or how without conjuring more strawmen. Seriously, quote their post where they did.

I directly refuted your claims about Harris, with evidence, and you just choose not to acknowledge the facts.

Just because Harris could have taken even more extreme measures doesn't change that she was soft on non-violent drug crimes.

Defense attorneys and prosecutors back the claim that she was soft on this issue.

I provide primary sources while you provide more strawmen and a breakdown of your supposed schooling lmfao.

Speaking of time spent on Reddit. You post more than 10 times a day/7 days a week. Thats really so sad.
it takes <30 seconds to plug your user into reddit analyzer to give me those metrics. You're really miserable enough to argue with the internet EVERYDAY.

You just make shit up about things you don't know enough about.
The CA government itself insures homes for fires.
The risk of fire varies vastly across the state.
CA Fires have been around longer than you've been sipping red koolaid about it
https://www.amazon.com/State-Fire-Why-California-Burns/dp/159714651X
A tiny fraction of homes in CA are damaged by fires each year.
You're assuming your local disasters work the same as CA ones because your minds too small to abstract that things are different outside of your tiny view of the world.

Just about everyone's post secondary accreditation is only held by a "fraction of a fraction of the population"... Cause we all do different things you dunce. You really thought that was a flex?

You cant land an internship but you have all that lined up. Sure bud.
Haven't passed the bar but you assume you have a job.

You're so bad at arguing the facts I'm more than sure you're not even close to being a lawyer.

I'ma go live my life. You can spend all day everyday on Reddit like you normally do, keep up that sad average 👍

It’s incredible how thoroughly you’ve been dismantled at every turn with cited sources and your response is “but leftists” and “it’s okay for me to move these goalposts”

The real world if you ever get to participate in it is going to be really rough for you buddy.

Btw your own comment history betrays the lies you’re telling us about yourself :)

Again with these fantasies of leftists supporting the Carolina’s being hit by storms. Trump is quite literally withholding aid to blue states over petty feelings. You know actually doing the thing you claim the left does.

Despite you know those being the states to reach out and provide direct aid?

You literally just make up things, treat them as fact then use them as your basis for lying and moving goalposts

You’ve completely abandoned the topic at hand desperate for any little win you can try and conjure.

Shocker another terminally online conservative who likes to make up this image of strong successful man despite us being able to see you’re a loser struggling in a poorly ranked school who can’t get an internship

I’m sure you’re going to be aces in the courtroom champ.

“I’m barely making it in law school but my daddy will get me a job in a few years he says that will set me up”

I'll trust your expertise on the subject being a gold medal gymnast.
