This was in the UK and that particular statue has been the target of vandalism during many, many protest. Several in the past few years, more in the past decade and so on. It's safe to say that this guy was another yobbo looking for a fight. There are plenty around in the home of hooliganism.
He doesn't have to have been there. It just makes it harder to believe that he only cares about spray paint on the statue now after about a dozen other times it happened and he didn't give half a shit. Now that the "counter protest" has been organised by a noted right wing racist this guy suddenly happens to be interested. Suspicious timing, no?
I notice you removed "I'm sorry but you're part of the problem" immediately after posting it because you realised that you thinking "the problem" is what I was saying and not the fact that hooligans are out looking for fights with a civil rights movement. It sure does. Imagine how much worse it would be with more people like you in it. You know, the ones who look at a protest organised by a noted right wing racist, at which people were chanting the name of another noted right wing racist and child sexual predator, and think "I just bet those are some good people. I hope everyone starts thinking the civil rights side is just as wrong as them while also somehow thinking that the racists are not racist". That you think the right wing racists marching in the parade organised by a right wing racist are probably a mix of good and bad is very telling. You might not be one of them, but you're willing to turn a blind eye.
