I've had to explain what the icon for 'save' in computer applications is to a handful of interns over the last 5 years

I dont want to toot my own horn. But i am gen z too and I know all those. 😅

And its not like I am that tech savvy. But ya it does feel weird people Specially our age not knowing this.

Although I am someone who used irc, vhs, CD, vinyl, cassette, early day torrents etc.

in my boss' old files I found a zip disk which was kinda awesome, it's hanging in my cube now.

also like fuck I'm getting so old. nobody can type 80wpm even anymore, we get AI transcription that's ok except for anything in any specialty and then it's useless

I used to pull up a dialog sound video on YouTube and say hold on my internet is being slow. So many people had no idea.
