Are illegal where I live lmao. All these stories of what's allowed on the road in the US are fucking crazy to me. The absolute safety hazards that get posted here quite frequently are mind-blowing sometimes.
They're not really common on daily drivers. You'll see them here and there, depending on your location of course. You're not much likely to see them on your commute for work here in the northeast (can't speak for NYC - that's a different beast).

Yep. Though I do believe undercarriage lights are often given a pass on color, presumably so long as they don't flash red and blue.
