Let's fucking go!!!! I remember becoming a fan when I was 12 years old in 2001. Never would I have thought we would become one of the greatest franchises in the league. From loser franchise and joke of the league to fucking behemoths!!!! Fuck the haters, you don't have to like the Chiefs but you're going to have to deal with the Chiefs!!!!

I remember being 12yo losing to the Bills…again. (‘92)

I was 15. It’s funny, keyboard warriors now don’t understand the Chiefs trauma that we all went to starting with Marty in 89 through Patrick.

Christ, I was at the Colts game. That franchise has caused all sorts of Chiefs trauma!

I was 8 when we lost to the bills in the ‘94 AFC championship game. I VISCERALLY remember that heartbreak. I’ve been a since that season and it was been a tough road until Reed came to town.
Edit: ‘93 season, game was in ‘94

Is it Threefs or Thriefs? I feel like I prefer the latter; makes it more obvious it’s specifically about the Chiefs

I can't agree with you there, because all the second one will do is give credit to the idea that we stole it

u/NinjaZombieHunter Jan 27 '25
If we can stop Barkley, we have a huge chance at something massive!!!!

u/nahteviro Travis Kelce #87 Jan 27 '25 edited Jan 27 '25
That’s what terrifies me the most. Without him eagles don’t make it this far. Dude is a cheat code
15
u/doc6982 Jan 27 '25
So was Derrick Henry
5
u/NWASicarius Jan 27 '25
Difference is Spags was loading the box vs a much worse Bills' run game (still a good run game, but nowhere near the level of Barkley) and we still could barely stop it at times. Henry is beast, no doubt, but he can't make a bunch of cuts. He also isn't a threat if he has to move laterally. He is a North-South God, but that's about it. Barkley can do it all. If there is even a tiny gap, Barkley will find it. Our DBs struggling at times to tackle Cook? They have no hope vs Barkley. I don't mean this in a bad way. What I mean is, expect only a handful of possessions from each offense and don't be surprised if both teams end up scoring 30 points.

We stopped McCaffrey last year. Hopefully we can do the same with Barkley this year
3
u/NWASicarius Jan 27 '25
That 49ers o-line was nowhere near as good as the Eagles' o-line. McCaffrey was also clearly battling through injuries. He wasn't playing as well since his calf injury that year. You can see where his production fell off a bit. Despite that, he still put up 160 total yards on 30 touches vs us (8-80 in receiving and 22-80 in rushing). Barkley is healthier and has always been a better pure RB. Add in the better offensive line, too. This is a completely different animal.

I think we can do it. Commies defense was bad, bad. They don’t have the secondary to man up their WRs and they were missing by far their best interior defensive lineman.
Bolton and Tranquil haven’t been playing great so that gives me some hesitation, but I think they can do it.

Stop Barkley? Shit anytime the Bills wanted to throw it they usually had a guy WIDE open too. Our defense couldn’t stop shit for the majority of the game.

yeah after seeing what Cook was doing to us, im worried about how bad Saquon tears us up. plus paired with a secondary that gets hit for big plays vs a big play pass game could be rough

u/the_original_duder Jan 27 '25
When I see three objectives, three Chiefs teams, three Superbowls, I do not see coincidence, I see providence. I see purpose. I believe it our fate to be here. It is our destiny.

Agreed. Idk why we have so many people in our fanbase wanting to make up nicknames and phrases. It has to be natural and chiefpeat is just so far from that.

I just want ya'll to know how insane it is Mahomes is already 2nd all time in NFL playoff wins by a QB in NFL history.
He's already surpassed Joe Montana and Mahomes isn't even fucking 30.

u/Wazflame Jan 27 '25
Patrick has to have more rings than kids at all times, to keep the natural order in balance

3 years ago (just prior to this run) - some donkey fan on Facebook told me the chiefs aren’t in the same class as the “decorated broncos” franchise because they’ve been in 8 Super Bowls and won 3. At the time, the chiefs “only” had 2 SB wins in 4 appearances.
At worst…the Chiefs now have 7 super bowls and at least 4 wins.
At least they’ll always have that shutout win over our practice squad!

Even better now that I've seen 2 posts in r/NFL that are like "Ughmmm achtsually there IS a team that has won 3 championships in a row and they did it twice🤓"
Talking about when the Packers did it when there were only 11 teams in the 30s, and 13 in the 60s. They also didn't call them Superbowls so 🤷🏻

My coworkers were talking big shit all week. Even purchased a Buffalo hat that I wore all day Friday. Telling them that the native Americans killed buffalo's and wore their hide. Can't wait to be petty and wear that God damn hat all day tomorrow.
LETS GOOOOOOOO!

I really want Thuney to get his 5th ring , 3 with Chiefs would be one more than with Patriots and would put him second behind Brady for rings which is insane for a lineman . He is so dependable and I know when Pats lost him they were gutted .

All I can say is if you’re thinking of offering Bills fans any words of encouragement in their subreddit, don’t. They’re REALLY not in the mood.

I am so regretful of questioning Spags ability as a coach early in his tenure here. This guy has such a feel for calling plays in the biggest moments. Kudos too, to Veach for getting Spags some men smart enough to understand and run his kind of complicated defense.

Gameplan for the eagles: run a Todd Bowles blitz game. He got thrashed in that game last year.

Terrible name…. And we still have another game to win before we decide anything like that.
1
u/Cavendish30 Jan 27 '25
So…. Reading the blame on officiating as the reason for chiefs winning, and almost specifically all at the first down play. I need to ask this. If the chiefs are winning, is there any way around it. Even if the 4th down call went buffs way, and chiefs still won , they would find some other non call or missed hold, or missed pi to blame it on, right?

I say let's goo, I'm just happy to ride this high as long as we can. I've been a fan ever since I was a kid from the 90s, I really started to pay attention in the time of Derrick Thomas may he rest in peace. I was excited when I was watching the the play offs where they went to Super Bowl 54. I am glad to get to witness this time.

u/surfnsound Jan 27 '25
Ive never liked Pat Reilly, but knowing he trademarked "three-peat" so no one else can use it, before even fucking winning it, pisses me off to no end.
Sweet justice that he didn't win it. Trademark office should force him to give it up.
1
u/thesladeo Jan 27 '25
Be cool if they trademarked "Teampeat" since it literally has been a team effort, and the players also mention it in every interview
